Love this!! A couple of suggestions:
1) The Real World: NY - truly the first show that created reality TV as we know it today
2) Jersey Shore s1 - the birth of MTV’s biggest show ever!
3) The Real Housewives of Atlanta - not the first HWs, but in many ways the one that shaped what it is today

True. My thought at the time was that they may have started having trouble getting some people they wanted to recruit because there wasn't enough incentive with $500k for 3.5 month commitment. Survivor doesn't recruit to the same level anymore, so that likely isn't an issue for them.

I would fully agree with this, but to play devil's advocate, Big Brother randomly decided to increase their prize in season 23 from $500k to $750k! So I do think there's potentially hope that one day Survivor might follow suit.

Yeah I think a lot of people gave up after s1, which had filmed as a totally different show & then they switched it to be housewives. So it never had very high ratings. But people campaigned over the years for it to come back so they rebooted it for Peacock when they first launched that.
