I was given a Parker Jotter pen set (ballpoint and fountain pen) by my PhD student after her viva. My first FP was a Parker Sonnet, and I haven't written with it in years. I'm now remembering one of its tics - grabbing at beard hairs around the clip/top of lid when held while rubbing my chin sagely.
