I do hope it's you in a decade time, like i've been able to do with the stuff I shot a decade ago

Yeah, the only thing that keeps me going is the incredible sized negatives, and seeing the results on my large monitor when editing.

I wouldn’t go that far, but the moment somebody makes cohost2 or just a better tumblr I’m jumping ship. Because this place is not inspiring me to do more photography

In addition to better image compression I also would like a cross platform drafts option where I can queue photos like a slide projector. Though basically I want cohost back

Even in portrait you only get to 1:1, which is insane

Your review and photos made me look for it online, but apparently I already have one gathering dust. Time to try it out again with a modern full frame camera.

Hi Burt!

Raspberry Pi did it with the manufacturing part, while still keeping some control with the non-profit foundation part. I'm a bit hazy on the details, but it seemed a straight forward way to get more cash into the foundation for their educational work.

I made the same photo twice, the one above with a Fuji GSW690ii on a massive 6x9 negative. And the one linked below with a Pentax 17 and a tiny half frame negative: bsky.app/profile/mifu...

Not quite, the International Criminal Court is a few blocks away. This one is for nation states having legal issues with each other. (I still want to take a photo of the ICC for a more accurate version of the "Going to The Hague for my crimes" joke)

Congrats! I hope all goes well.

The last two months makes me miss cohost even more. Having a place to post and see other people’s art and hobbies was a nice contrast to Bluesky

Oh damn, that sucks

I kind of missed that at Cohost, but I managed. The cursed thing I had to do there, because the most recent draft was on top, was to make posts in reverse chronological order. Especially when there was no pagination in drafts.

I miss being able to load up my drafts with photos like a slide projector tray and consistently slam out a post or two per day for a couple of weeks

And we had great fun designing all the extra stuff like stickers

The badge uses a RP2040 running Circuitpython, making it easy to hack it

I think it will take some time, it is not easy making something like cohost (or a tumblr clone). The same is true for an instagram clone. The best thing I have for now is the discord we’re in.

I never really found a photography community like on cohost. It does feel like posting into the void here

Would like that on the other side of the North Sea as well

I did design and 3d print a sony e-mount to graflex 4x5 adapter, but haven't gotten to use it yet.

Oh, your writing there was great and it sucks that you can't anymore because of all the shit going on.

How is this going to mesh with EU requirements though? Because I vaguely remember something similar being in place here. It would lead to a RoHS situation where the US might have less strict regulation, but it's cheaper to make everything comply with EU rules.
