If you double up the leader, put a few cm of paper from another film on the take-up reel with the film you’re loading it’ll prevent the overlap. The wind mechanism is meant for much thicker film than currently available. Glad you’re enjoying it!

I still use running water for wash, but my water is cheap. I’m planning on retiring to a more expensive place in a couple of years so I’ll probably switch to the Ilford method then.

I agree with consistency, I count my inversions to make sure they’re the same film to film. I do also check the wash water temperature to make sure it’s about the same as the other chemicals, in summer it comes out of the ground the right temperature, in winter I have to mix a little hot water in

Yep, and an unpopular opinion of mine, dev time and temp aren’t that critical, I dev at room temp, usually 22c/71.5f and to me the negs look just fine. 😁

MDC has always worked for me, that 12 minutes has worked on a few films this year, on a different film this shot was exposed correctly for iso 1600, 1/30 @ f4.5 if I remember correctly, the dev time looks pretty good to me.

12 minutes according to my app?

My app shows 12 minutes?

I use the Massive Dev Chart times, it gives 12 minutes for Kentmere 400 @ 1600 and that seems about right, this is the 4th film I’ve shot at that speed and the negs always look good. I have this on 14 minutes but another couple wouldn’t have hurt.

I don’t, it’s not my design to sell, I downloaded the files.

Nice, the governors house on Alcatraz?

It’s perfectly OK to use the auto modes on your camera, not everything has to be shot in manual mode.

100 and 125 ISO I shoot at box speed, 400 I usually push, Kentmere and HP5 both look good at 800 and 1600.

Not playing plans, I have a new light bar and awning I hope to get installed. The fun will start when the weather warms up a little.

Nice ride! 😁 I’m sitting at work looking out the window at my Tacoma wishing I was in the desert or mountains. 😂

Yep, I would get 38 or 39 out of my XA2 every time.
