I listened to that interview with increasing horror - Gorka is a nasty piece of work. How Sarah Montague resisted the temptation to tell him to “go fuck himself” I don’t know. What a horrible man and what an insufferable arse.

17 days on, I feel liberated from the vileness of X and life is better for letting it go. Why did I wait so long?

Seems to be the way of the world. Significant rise in arseholery recently. Hope you are ok?

I hadn’t realised sheep ate curlew eggs. Here in the Peak District there is intensive grazing of cattle and sheep, but much of the problem for curlews and other ground nesting birds is the timing of grass cutting which takes no account of when there are eggs or chicks on the nest.

I would have voted Green in the GE, but for the desire to make sure the Tory incumbent was voted out. I am dismayed by Starmer constantly pandering to the right rather than pursuing left leaning policies and the back tracking on green issues is worrying.

That’s a good letter. It’s a clear tactic employed by the Tories...attacking Labour for things the Tories did, the Chagos Islands being another example. It’s almost as if they don’t remember they were the Government for 14 long and horrible years.

Ultimately Trump is an irrelevance because we will be enslaved by technology. Our every thought and movement recorded and transgressions punished. This will be the true tyranny and it will be worse than Orwell ever imagined.

Makes me nostalgic for genuinely tough interviewers like Robin Day, perhaps? The BBC is persistently giving airtime & oxygen to a so-called politician with unsavoury views. Just covering what Farage says moves the debate his way, but when he’s really pushed, he can’t handle it. Push harder BBC!
