Supplice is another Early Access gem, heavily inspired by the original Marathon and just put out its 4th episode, it's a game I really need to revisit at some point, but from what I played it was fantastic, and the soundtrack is pure fire.

And of course, how could I go without mentioning Frogmonster? It's the Frogmonsteriest of them all. One of the best games of 2024. It also still has a demo, go give that a go at the very least.

Prodeus is another I'd consider top tier, it leans extremely into the Doom influence, but that is no bad thing. It does what it does especially well, and has some of the meatiest weapons and the wettest gore, the sound design is impeccable. Highly recommended!

I will not get tired of recommending people check Selaco out, it is hands down one of the best of the genre has to offer, it's incredible what this game is doing in the GZDoom engine, it's a thoroughly brilliant game even in its current Early Access state.

Mullet Madjack is a roguelike where you have seconds to live and every kill adds precious time to your clock, so you gotta kill fast, and its aesthetic is not just generally anime inspired, it's basically that one Manga Video sizzle real from the 90s

Speaking of gore, you want something that really leans into the horror vibes? Cultic is one of the most deliciously over the top FPS titles you could hope for, there's a real Evil Dead and old low-budget horror you rented on VHS as a kid energy to its splatter

Turbo Ultrakill is one of the slickest feeling FPS games you could ever hope to play, the level design makes amazing use of verticality, really letting you take full advantage of your movement abilities, a tremendously good cybergore setting

Speaking of being evangelical about something, I cannot recommend HROT highly enough, it's one of the best oldschool FPS titles going, the mood and atmosphere are off the charts, the level design is amazing, secrets that'll really bake your noodle.

And I mean that, I grew up on all the Quakensteins and the like, and the sheer quality of the FPS games these days are gobsmacking, we've never been so back.
Not to come across as evangelical but have you heard the good word about ULTRAKILL?

put a little differently, trump is creating a clear hierarchy of states based on nothing other than his arbitrary political preferences. some states, and thus some citizens, will be disadvantaged for no other reason than that the president does not like they don't obey his will.
