Yes, but I do think any Democrats who vote for the CR will recognize that they grossly underestimated the rage of the Democrat and independent voters. This reminds me a lot of where republican people politicians were in 2009. which birthed the tea party.

It depends on which voters and which media outlets they watch/read. Many people believe we live in a post-truth world where nothing is trustworthy/believable. Laws are enforced based on the accused’s relationship to those in power. Tribal stories are all we have.

At first, I had a similar take on this, however choosing sides would reflect a set values that were shared by both sides. But I can’t find that with either Trump or Putin.
