Take the high road, at least for now.

They just don't care. About truth, integrity, even their own reputations. They are so deep in the cult that they lost any shred of themselves that was decent .

John Ruffolo's comments are laughable. We don't just tax things we don't want, we tax to get things we do want: education, healthcare, income security, infrastructure. Those who don't want to pay their fair share want the benefits of society without the costs. True greed and entitlement.

Isn't that the oddity of the BQ, he is running for neither. He is just running for influence, in that respect not different from other parties.

The billionaires will get their $. This is about destroying the checks and balances and redefining power.

Is there ever an appropriate time to use the notwithstanding lause? I don't know. I am certain that it should only be used after exhausting all reasonable alternatives, if at all. We must give deference to the charter and the principles for which it, and we stand.

I was wondering why he made the throw. Interesting take, Mike.

Interesting point given the work he did for Harper. Given Poilievre's statement that his ideology has stayed true, it could be that Haper questions his leadership or appeal to voters.

Fantastic summary of how Conservatives transfer public wealth to private interests.

#CTV has failed Rachel, women, journalists, and Canadians who want news and facts. Drop the 'news' label if you only report it when not too inconvenient. #conpoli #journalism #misogyny

@ctvnews @bellmedia have shown cowardice. These can not claim to be news organizations, they, at best peddle non-controversial public interest items if they won't stand up for truth.

On its face, this is a no brainer. The shutdown of jamming functionality on Ukrainian fighters tells me all I need to know. The US would do it to Canada just as readily.

"We do not elect leaders anymore. We appoint brands. And like all brands, they have an expiration date." Fantastic summary of the status quo. Flitting from failed savior to failed savior. It is the same impulse that drives the race to follow someone else's plan to get rich quick.

I don't think "Canada's female Donald Trump" is the compliment she has taken it as.

Add this to the voices that say that lower development fees won't be passed on to buyers, and you see why more direct government action is required. Government and private sector investment creates the necessary mix. But how do we ensure the government side is managed responsibly and consistently?

This felt well scripted and a deliberate attempt to position Carney's candidacy. To that end it showed that he has some personality and may connect with voters. His economic qualifications are what LPC needs to exploit.

Wealth distribution is and always has been the fundamental issue. Whether it is a matter of life or death access to food, shelter, and care; or fair compensation for work; or the treatment of the vulnerable, we have an innate sense of justice that rules us unless we rationalize it's betrayal.
