Vegemite vs Marmite- Vegemite wins hands down mate.

This is excellent. I have been thinking along the same lines. I like the steps you have taken!

I suppose you are right. This has become a philosophical conundrum! What is the point of money for nothing when you already get chips for free? What the hell would you do with your money if you weren’t spending it on chips? Oh man. Now I understand why this lyric wasn’t used. Great pick up. Thanks

Yes. I maintain that changing chicks to chips would make the song so much better. Imagine a world where you wander around with money for nothing and free chips…I just imagine going to the shop and getting chips and they just wave you past the cash register, “He doesn’t pay, let him through.” Heaven.

When I was a kid I was sure the lyric was “Money for nothing and your chips for free.” I thought, what a great life that person has, money, chips- all you need. I was so disappointed to listen as an adult.

Never a consideration. Another thing, while most of the Teal candidates are women, there have been men backed by Climate 200 as well. David Pocock is a notable independent- although he turned down funding for this most recent election.

Loved this episode! I think it’s worth pointing out that Australia has preferential voting, which means that ballots are recounted and the voters preferences are distributed to determine the outcome, quite different from the first past the post system. Also voting is compulsory here, so turnout is

Sounds great!

Rickenbacker! What’s your go to bass? Still in love with the Iceman!

Thanks mate, you too.

I am fucken terrible at pacing. I have never been good at listening to my body. Some people are good at it, but I have spent a long time ignoring my body and just doing stuff anyway. Now I can’t do anything much at all. It’s pretty terrible this chronic fatigue business.
comment in response to post
I’m just getting used to the chronic fatigue thing… is there anything that works for you?
comment in response to post
I think I would be happier blaming the system, rather than put another thing on the list of things wrong with me. Also, please write. I will read it, you have an audience.

Yep, sounds the same as me. All or nothing. So frustrating! I have been starting to think it’s related to being told we have to grind to get anywhere, hard work is the only way, be tired when you are dead…. Or maybe I am just wired to be busy, but my body can’t handle it anymore.

I’m in the same boat. Struggling with a bunch of chronic stuff and feeling less and less like myself. It sucks! But I am happiest when I am doing things, so I just try. Sometimes I win, sometimes I don’t. My issue is always trying to do too much, because I remember what I was. I suck at pacing!

I struggle with this feeling as well, however I have found that there is some power in doing what you can do, even if it isn’t what you want to do. And sometimes the act of doing anything is helpful, for me anyways. Good luck with everything!

I listened to the latest Oh God What Now and you said no one listens to your comic book suggestions. I got the reboot of Martian Manhunter on your recommendation and I love it! Keep em coming.

I would love to hear and see what you do mate! I love your posts. Can you give me some of your faves for me to follow and listen to please? I am obsessed with that Iceman bass.

That is exactly what I was going to say.

Australia has an election coming up. I reckon there will be a minority Labour government working with a large cross bench. Trump isn’t popular here. It’s not perfect by any stretch but preferential voting will be flexing its muscles. See how we go in May! Might be a solid option.

I absolutely agree.

I just finished reading Make Room! Make Room! I didn’t know it was a movie as well! How cool!
comment in response to post
No doubt that Trump has been an influence, but I don’t think anyone should undersell how shit Dutton is!
comment in response to post
I reckon the voting system here is really difficult to account for in polling. Preferential voting means that there is more likely to be independents, particularly since the success of David Pocock and Monique Ryan. I am hoping for a minority labour government with a huge cross bench.

Trump hasn’t helped Dutton, but it’s only part of the problem. He has rolled from one disaster to another this campaign. The real lesson for Starmer is to have a point of view, do stuff, make change. Labour here have been the adults in the room, sensible, status quo.

Meant to say gift! Sorry!

It’s the fist that keeps on giving! I hope you are okay mate.

I have been in there, it is such a weird feeling. You have to push through that stage of feeling like a marshmallow covered in electricity- like you can’t string a sentence together but you have the reflexes of a jungle cat. Don’t burn out though mate. It’s unsustainable long term!

There certainly will have to be some compromises. Tina wants a mountain view and Chad prefers the beach. Tina would like a short commute to work. Chad has an extensive VHS collection and would like extra room for expansion.

Tina, a fashion consultant working for independent ethically responsible clothing retailers, and Chad, the fellow who picks the colours for new skittles, are purchasing a home in San Fransisco. Their budget is $30 million.
