I believe it's a 3070? I bought this system a little over 2 years ago in my habit of buying gaming computers with bizarre specs on deep discount b/c no one else wants them LOL

this is like when I opened up my computer and couldn't find my harddrive and @balodek.bsky.social had to get on video chat with us b/c Donna & I hadn't built a computer in 10-15 years and why was the harddrive SO TINY 🤣

in other news I haven't purchased a micro sd card in a long time and I am so confused, why is it trying to give me 128gb for $19.99 what on earth, nothing makes sense anymore.

yes it may be a surprise to my newer followers but I actually am not a 3d printing focaccia baking chaos entity professionally, that's just my side-gig. My job is BOOK. which is way better than beach.

YOU SHOULD GET A COPY but only if you like bonkers horny fantasy that's also very bisexual and also see that time I made a very normal grown-up trailer for it bsky.app/profile/most...

doing that 90s geek girl thing of writing Tamora Pierce/Mercedes Lackey crossover fanfic!!!
comment in response to post
I'm pretty sure there is some *heavy* Tamora Pierce influence at work here. LOL

That is some incredible mid-90s text art. Also my history teacher told me a couple years ago that he still remembers this, 30 years later. LOL I was always a lot.

I like to listen to Susan Casey's non-fiction about the ocean, and she was doing the work/research for this one leading up to the book in overlapping circles and some of the stuff in the book is wild. amzn.to/3ZkE33h

UPDATE!!!! we had been using the same (beginning to lose structural integrity) Dollar General containers we got in 2002 when we first moved in together, so now I have some nice adult baking stuff, and yes. tiktok shop got me, even if I made my mother buy them. LOL

(lol just noticed that the spine is wrong in the print mockup, I clearly was tired & didn't update the template. I need to take real pics now that I have a lightbox!)
comment in response to post
like this is the art for one of my flats (for a ~50,000 word story) and how it looks ebook vs print. hope that helps! having extra space on the wrap for spine width variation is super helpful if you don't have the final files.
comment in response to post
Practically speaking for making a wrap, the best thing to do (if you don't know the exact dimensions/page number) is to focus on making your front cover image and then expanding left with matching art that can be trimmed if necessary & is a good base for spine/back cover text!

@authorkaraj.bsky.social nailed it. The most common are 6x9 and 5.5x8.5 Amazon has a form where you can put in the rough details to get a template/size: kdp.amazon.com/cover-calcul... it won't be exact but I'd make it a bit bigger with plenty of croppable background around the important image!
comment in response to post
Are you asking like what the dimensions of an average book cover are, or how practically large a painting needs to be to be digitized in sufficient quality? Because I know nothing about the latter but I do know the former!

One little silly thing I did was grab some cheap bakery bags so I can set these on my counter and feel very fancy.

I LOVED Horizon Zero Dawn!!! I have not actually played the sequel yet b/c it took forever to come out on PC, but that is on my list for if I ever stop being on deadline!!!

I think I skipped them because for some reason I have a grudge against Pathfinder though I honestly can't remember why. LOL it must have been one of our annoying games but not traumatic (like rolemaster lol)
