Happy Thursday afternoon 😁

Movie you've watched more than six times using GIFs (hard mode: no Stat Wars, Star Trek or LOTR)

Morning!

Collecting data about the make, model & weight of every vehicle that's involved in a crash where a pedestrian is killed & making those stats publicly available is such a good idea.

#teamcompsci Trying to work out a way to split a binary value like 011101101110 into the first 8 and last 4 bits but all I have access to is a facility to convert the whole value to decimal and then standard decimal arithmetic (it's for generating floating point questions) Any ideas?

It's mind blowing just how much the pleasant feeling of general well being after 5 miles or so cycling off road through forest gets blown away by the sheer dick-headery of the drivers around the final 50 meters or so of road that lead up to the school gates 🫤

Pubs are ace

This headline poses far too many questions. Do the rats angrily get out to give each other a piece of their minds before having supercharged random rat stranger sex?

Fuckin' arseholes

Doing next year's school timetable. There's not many good things you can take out from it, it's a long, boring and arduous task.... But at least you can legitimately use language like "I know, I'll put a temporal lock on that class"

Morning!

Channeling my chaotic pedestrian and jaywalking enthusiast vibe on the walk to brunch this morning. Giving :-( faces to driver’s blocking sidewalks and not listening to what no red hand is telling me what to do. I heard someone mutter “jaywalking“ as we crossed. The people own the streets!

We do not need new roads; we need better transport options. Think of what could be done with £9.2bn, which is to be spent on just 14 miles of road! It could transform bus services and/or cycling and pedestrian infrastructure across Britain. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

Happy Father's Day everyone 🥰

Happy Trinity Sunday folks! 🥳 If you're in Marsden or Slaithwaite, come along to our festival service uniting the three churches into one for an all-Benefice celebration at 10:30am today 💒 fatherhilarious.blog/2024/09/why-...

Does anyone know why, when importing a gpx route to OS maps, it creates erroneous straight routes like this between random points along the route? More importantly how do you stop it? Same thing happens in the web version on my laptop.

Just discovered this gem of an oasis of tranquility just a few hundred meters from the M11 motorway. This video doesn't do justice to the sheer size of this ancient oak.
