Guess I'll have to be slow and careful when I walk home from the store with my eggs. Remember the good Ole days when we could drive to the grocery store kids? How does all of this winning feel?

I almost died from sepsis and necrotizing fasciitis after an emergency c-section. It wasn't until my husband accompanied me that I was taken seriously that something was very wrong. Before that, I was told I had post partum anxiety and depression WITHOUT my incision being checked.

Every single time I call his office I never get a person. I live in an area that is a tiny sliver of Jackson County that he represents due to gerrymandering. He doesn't know my area or the people who live here.

Thankfully, I was raised by a mother and grandmother who absolutely refused to submit and broke standards for their time. I raised my daughters the same way. I won't even recount the numerous comments made to me about the way my daughters were raised-by neighbors, family, and the schools.

My youngest is majoring in history. We don't value the humanities. I encouraged her to follow her passion.

He can call it whatever he wants but I taught my children the truth of Columbus and we will always celebrate Indigenous People or First Americans Day.
