I have this problem also. Although I actually like to put my earbuds on before my mask so that when I have to take them out to hear they dangle from the mask loops for easy access.

My dad and his friends did this with a boat once as teenagers.

Agreed on the salt bags. I get why the bags are large, you need a lot of salt, but smaller bags would be so much easier to deal with even though you would need more of them. We just reloaded ours yesterday.

As much as I dislike cops, I would love to see more of this. Getting drivers off their phones= actually protecting people

Should we be concerned that there appears to be a mountain lion on the cat tour map?

I usually block people like that. They are following thousands of people so its not like they will notice im gone lol. I figure either they aren't real or they are using bluesky in a way I am not interested in interacting with.

That certainly is wild what the heck

Ive often fantasized about being able to blast bad drivers with some sort of psychic lazer, is that anything?

So the @dougwrightawards.bsky.social ceremony was also streamed online, and... this is what everybody saw when I went to do my acceptance speech. It's the funniest thing ever. I'm in tears.

Literally how I saved money in my old apartment. Took advantage of the thin walls in the building to keep the apartment cozy

Ok cool! Thanks for the response. I've been a fan of Christine's music for a long time but hadn't heard of this program.

The Coast Guard does operate on Lake superior but weird they would have them for this.

Yeah but like, what haven't you executed someone for once?

A meaningless statement when paired with your capitulation to the fascist government. You opened the door for hate and then invited it inside.

I know I shouldn't get hung up on this and people have every right to block for whatever but to be blocked for having a genuine conversation really threw me off. I was just talking to them normally and sharing opinions? Sorry those opinions didn't match perfectly to yours.

Drivers need to have fear of how their actions affect others, not fear of the dangers of driving. People know driving is dangerous and they try to mitigate that by getting big trucks and SUVs thinking it will protect them, and driving aggressively because they see other drivers as a threat...

... imo we need to instill a sense of the huge responsibility driving is. That you are taking the lives of the people around you in your hands. Traumatizing people with crash footage doesn't achieve that.

When I took drivers ed in the early 2000s this was part of it. We watched a horrible old video of crashes which DID traumatize me and contribute to my fear of driving. I dont think it was in a helpful way though....

Has anyone let @maureenjohnsonbooks.com know about this?

Predictable not polite! This is how I feel when people stop and wave for me to cross (on foot or on bike) when they have the right of way. Just go and I will wait my turn or for a gap in traffic! You aren't being polite just making the road more dangerous for everyone behind.

As a young child I thought Jesus was born at Christmas and then grew up incredibly fast to then die at Easter. I think I vaguely knew how aging worked irl but figured if he could rise from the dead fast aging was also possible.

I saw several vehicles getting towed this week over on Chicago where they were street cleaning. Guessing that's priority because the owners of those cars will actually pay to get them back. This car...probably not
