Say that to Kilmar Abrego Garcia and the rest of the 239 people sent to El Salvador. They might never see freedom again.

This was the play all along. They didn’t give a fig about Laken Riley. They just needed a symbol to rally around in order to push their agenda.

@booker.senate.gov your party is not going to get the groundswell it needs in order to affect change if everyone is worried about citizens being deported to El Salvador. That issue is your Rubicon.

The journalist wasn’t “randomly included.” This whole clusterf**k is a misdirection. What are they trying to distract us from?

Yes!! @kenmartin.bsky.social this is the message Dems need to disseminate in order to resonate with moderate voters - a little mea culpa, then regroup and refocus on how to help everyday Americans. As a matter of fact, the most recent episode of the Pantsuit Politics podcast breaks it down nicely.

You can’t convince me that “Open Road Song” isn’t the best driving song in the history of ear noise. I will die on this hill.

Boo him off of the podium. Do not stop booing until he actually leaves. Make him feel like the smallest man in the world.

Graham has always been, and will always be, a spineless ass kisser. It’s a wonder anyone still takes notice when he speaks.

It’s almost like when the British army experienced guerrilla warfare for the first time. The rules of the game have changed, and Democrats need to adapt or be defeated.

It would be iconic and thought-provoking if someone snuck up there and put a blindfold on her. That photo would be front-page worthy.

@kenmartin.bsky.social since you didn’t answer my question, here’s an effective strategy. Maybe Jess should be in your seat.

@kenmartin.bsky.social the state of Alabama is made up of working-class people with very few “elites”, but the Alabama Democratic Party seems discouraged and rudderless. What is your strategy for motivating local Party officials in predominantly conservative states?

Given the current administration’s disregard for laws and political norms, it’s not out of the realm of possibility. And a lot of people are rightfully terrified of the implications for speaking up.

I get that we’re not powerless, but do any of us really want to be sent to Guantanamo Bay or El Salvador for being labeled political enemies?

It’s almost like the defense budget is so big because those in power knew they could use the military against the people. Our tax dollars are going to fund our own subjugation.

The call is coming from inside the party. With the exception of a few on the left, the Democratic Party is feckless.

After the election in November, I called the Alabama Democratic Party and asked why there were so many uncontested Republicans on the ballot, and was basically told that no one wanted to run because they knew they would lose. Among other things, the Alabama Democratic Party has a morale issue.
