I have accidentally become important work at work and it is ruining my life. A few people higher up want me to drop everything and do another job at a moment's notice...but they don't tell me. They tell my boss, who assumes (wrongly) that they told me too.

The only reason prisons are able to pay incarcerated individuals less than minimum wage is because the 13 amendment exempts punishment in prison from the prohibition on slavery. They're legal slaves. That doesn't apply to civil detention for immigration. It's blatantly unconstitutional.

The best thing to happen in the last week/month/year was being told that somebody in my Geography class said that "Even though he's not a Geography teacher, Mr Newlife knows his stuff"
