Once I went through my colleague yesterday about using AI to do work she could do better herself, her defence was "But I'm only one user so it doesn't make a difference" and I fired back "What is an ocean without drops?"

A guy in my book group said "Every morning, you need a reason to not kill yourself. Last week, mine was the Mars bar I was having with my lunch"

I had a colleague showing me all the cool stuff that she got an AI to do for her. I just about shouted "But YOU can do that yourself!" at her, because she is good at her job.

I've been reading Triangle Era Superman (1990-1991) and the biggest stand out is that Metropolis is a character. There is a recession, news strikes, strike breakers, and a whole lot of things that would be happening if Superman didn't live there. the 2020s version is all seen through a Super lens.

what about 138 (69x2)?

Of course I will. I'll have to manage both of them. And make sure that they both get 0.5 of me, and don't try to get 0.55. Up until this morning, they were waiting for the other to start a timetable so that they can fill their bits in.

I am going to be split between two bosses and I told one of them "I'm not going to be carrying messages from mummy to daddy". She replied that daddy needs to realise that the world doesn't revolve around him so a) it's going to be an adventure and b) she's accepted my "child of divorce" framing

You should have made a better choice with your boss(es) Tell this one they're on thin ice

Actually, the "Live at KCRW" session has completely different verses. Impeccable vibes remain

Whenever youtube serves me radio edits of songs, I have to give it the πŸ‘Ž because those are load bearing curses. The Dinner Party isn't them same if they sing "You can hold me/like he held her/and I will love you/ like nothing matters"

Go Team! have two versions of Huddle Formation. Only one has the bridge from a Black Panther chant of "Revolution has come Off the pigs Time to pick up a gun Off the pigs" The other is "Love to make noise (Go!Team) Got the whole neighborhood (Rock it)"

I read a thing (on here?) about how trans women have had to put the work in to womanhood, whereas nepo-ladies are just born into it

I already work with somebody who can confidently tell you nonsense, then when you correct her, says "Yes, I thought it was that" so I don't need to introduce AI to my learning. I walked in on my boss teaching a class how to generate "art" and said to her "Oh. You're making slop"

Years ago, my boss outlined a new way of dealing with problem clients and said "Some people are still going to try to take advantage of us, but we're not going to be jerked around by idiots"

My English teacher told me that "Every mark on that page is there for a reason, and you get to find out why" and I love him for it. That sentence blew my love of literature wide open.

My driver didn't fancy my stop this morning, even though I pushed the button and was standing next to him waiting to get off. However, that was after he did a magical mystery detour, so I figured he was just having a morning of it.

Got to respect that dedication. Firebreak is fun. It's players against the game, so the atmosphere is nice, and it's pretty tense and exciting. The mechanics linking it to the Oldest House story are deeply cool πŸ”»πŸ«‘

Oh cool. I read this when Monkeybrain launched it years ago. I'm surprised I can still read it on my kindle.

This was some proper WTF, but not as Superdickery as the cover suggests. One incredible joke at the end that I might manage to upload tomorrow

It is incredible to see these bozos step up to him and every single one is in the receiving end of a 140 character TKO.
