I remember that actually being established in an issue somewhere. I can't remember where that was but I remember him being in a bar, the bartender recognizing him, and giving him a drink on the house.

That's true yes seems like he'd get something for that

Yes there was a teaser scene of the return of Supernova / Garthan Saal that sadly was left dangling after the end of DnA's Nova series.

We did see cloning on Xandar during The Starlost in New Warriors 40-43 so there’s a precedent

Is Firelord alive? Does he still count?
Air Walker I guess was a robot based off a Xandarian so that probably counts even less.
Otherwise... I don't think so. Seems like some must've been off-planet at the time but I don't think any have been shown.

I guess it makes sense. Xandar might've paid the Nova Corps when it existed but after that, seems like it was a volunteer position since there was no organization running it. But then any kind of financial system that might be in place has always been nebulous at best.

Jed MacKay concludes, "Now, he's the last standard bearer of the old order, a veteran of a war that already seems so long ago, and the question is being asked...is a Nova still relevant in the wake of IMPERIAL?"

"Rich is really interesting to me,” Jed MacKay continued. "For a lot of his history he's been defined as being a ‘new kid,’ from his Spider-Man-esque origin to his time with the New Warriors, even up to the opening of Annihilation.

"I'm very excited to take on the Human Rocket and explore the new cosmic stage defined by Imperial!" MacKay shared. "The great galactic civilizations are moving into an all-new alignment, and I'm really looking forward to seeing where the last Nova Corpsman fits in when the pieces are put together."

The Hero Killers story was first reprinted in 2012 so yes that could be! If you liked that, you should definitely check out the rest of the series.

I think @brandonseifert.info was one of the first people I was talking to at the time who called out a lot of this stuff way back when an email mailing list was how some people actually talked about this stuff.

I gave it too much benefit of the doubt for way too long. It's got Steve McNiven art and a lot of shiny lights to distract from foundational weaknesses in plot and character. Never mind the discrepancies of the in-universe mechanics of the law between the mini-series and the tie-ins.

So many people seem afraid to use proper nouns. It drives me crazy. Name the thing you are talking about!

My understanding is it's mostly unrelated and dealing with the original Golden Age Sandman. I've also heard nothing but good things and have long wanted to read it. I can't imagine there would be any royalties tying back to the writer of the "other" Sandman.

People complain about the constant relaunching and renumbering but in the '90s they just started making up numbers, throwing in letters, using symbols. It was anarchy!

I loved that site. I hope the owner got a lot for it but it’s a shame all that info was lost.

Probably the first site to try to work out reading orders, The Marvel Chronology Project doesn't look like it's been updated since July 2023. But its influence looms large even today.

The League of Comic Geeks is the youngest site here but they have grown fast with an extensive database created by a thriving community and its own social media feed.

In case you're not familiar with these sites, here are some links.
The Marvel Database isn't official (none of these sites are) but they update fast and tend to be very thorough.
