Sounds like either the cable's crock or the printer is. Return it if that's an option.

Cable or WiFi? If the former, can you scrounge another just to see if the problem is there?

I am still reading The Incandescent by Emily Tesh. I'm enjoying it, but I seem to read paper more slowly than Kindle.
Bedtime story is Witch Week by DWJ, which is worrying me a bit as too dark for my daughter, but she may not have noticed the bone-fires.

It's also very convinced that Hoffman is a US Senator, which is not my understanding.

If I were an authoritarian looking to overthrow a country's democratic traditions, I guess I might want that.

A man named after a loud fart doesn't really need silly names inventing for him.

Most of those (not Julian May?) would fit into five authors, read more than 11 of their books.

I was walking down a street in Oxford and John Thaw ran past me. Only realised who it was when I saw myself in an episode of Inspector Morse a year or so later.

Oh see what you mean about that consultation. All "Have we explained our regressive position clearly?" and nothing about whether we support the position.

Actually a journalist for asking a question isn't exactly good.

Just maybe putting people who think disease can be cured by prayer in charge of research budgets wasn't the best idea.

The particular law he's standing up for is the one the Supreme Court invented saying that if the President wants it, then the President can do it.
NB: does not apply to Democrats.

Daughter has gone straight from Magicians of Caprona to Witch Week as her bed time story. I'm just worrying it's too dark for her.

She has a point. I remember talking to kids when the Pet books were coming out, genuinely excited that there was a new one coming. It was the gateway drug for a generation, especially for girls.
No justification in reading them now. My daughter's on a diet of DWJ.

North Korea and Belarus have elections. The US will have them. The question is who gets to vote and who counts.

Had the paratrooper done anything to distinguish himself from the thousands of other paratroopers?

Yeah. I couldn't work out what he had done to deserve naming a base after him.
