He has been utterly mediocre as a coach everywhere he’s been bar the cup run in St Louis, which had Binnington playing at an elite level.

Berube was always the wrong coach to lead this team.

Full blow remake, no. But give me a HD-2D remake and I’ll be all over it.

It all makes for a game that tried to cast a wide net, to bring in as many players as possible, but it’s only really selling to core FGC members.
It’s starting to look like it’ll be successful in the way Guily Gear Strive is, not in the way that something like SF6 or Tekken 8 were.

Third, the menus, UI, UX and especially training mode are terrible.
This all makes for a terrible new player experience, especially in comparison to Street Fighter 6.
All of this before launching against two huge games, though to be fair E33 is a surprise success and Oblibion is just a surprise.

I think there’s a bit of a cascade of failures.
First, the game is hard. It’s just not well suited to be someone’s first fighting game simply because there’s just a ton to learn. And fighters are a niche genre.
Second, they really pushed hard to have a surprisingly large marketing campaign.

Glad that I’m happy with my Steam Deck for now. The modern era of scalping everything is exhausting.

Traditionally yes, though it’s not as common in modern stories as it used to be due to lack of explicit conflict. Miyazaki films use that structure.
My prior point does still stand though, 2, 3, or 4 act structures are hard to build a 100+ hour story around.

This is what sold me on the game. I feel like so many modern RPGs are long for the sake of being long.
There’s a place for good episodic stories (Persona 5, BG3), but a traditional 3 act structure falls apart for me when it’s stretched beyond 30ish hours.
I’d much rather have focus.

It seems like they were asked to include him quite late into production. Salvatore looks like he had time to be integrated into the roster, Ronaldo feels like they literally did the bare minimum.

I’m feeling the same way. It just feels so soulless.

I actually prefer the GameCube art style. The flatter look works better with the cell shaded art style.

When I was a kid, conspiracy theorists would pore over the 500 page 9/11 commission report, and file FOIA requests to get documents hopefully containing a crumb of evidence.
Modern day conspiracy theorists can't even read. They just watch Tiktoks about how things seem "fishy"

The problem with conspiracy freaks these days is that they are unbelievably fucking lazy

I loved The Only Good Indians. Gotta add this one to my TBR.

#Trump doesn’t understand the meaning of “no means no”. He’s even had a court adjudication to that effect.

There are zero reasons to ever downgrade your GM and coaching staff, even if certain players underperformed. Treliving proved with 7 fucking awful years in Calgary that he was a bad GM and he's proving it again. Berube had one lucky 5 month stretch in his coaching career and has been ass ever since.

We maintain possession but do nothing with it. It’s clipped our offences wings and the style just doesn’t work in the modern NHL when an average skater can skate past the backcheck.
Leafs were good to start the season simply because of how great our goalies were.

He won the cup in his first season when his team and especially his goalie got hot at just the right moment, the the team regressed to being mediocre almost immediately after.
Establish position in d zone, chip up boards to neutral, fail to receive or shitty zone entry, repeat.

Most people who call themselves a free speech radical seem to think freedom of speech means freedom from consequence or criticism.
As for me, I fucking love swearing.
