I agree with a lot of what you say, but his Island of Strangers speech was despicable. I will still vote Labour if that is the best way to keep Reform / Tories out (lesser of the evils), but his comments were shocking

I am sure there are some Tory voters (who voted Remain) who would vote tactically to keep Farage out of Downing Street even if that means voting Lib Dem or Labour

Also, can Farage make the same lie twice? He promised Brexit would deliver a better NHS. It didn’t. Now he will promise Reform will improve the NHS. It won’t. In the meantime Labour have 4 years to deliver actual improvements, and then campaign on them.

Yes I am totally with you on that one - while I was at the gym this morning all I could focus on was the return of the Rani and Wish World ⭐️

Yes I had noticed that too, also he rarely mentions Trump anymore

Yes but as long as this direction of travel is followed through by the Government with no rowing back because of opposition from the right wing press. However it does feel good that they are finally prepared to pick a fight with the right rather than just pander to them

I feel very happy today. We’ve finally made steps back to reason from Frost’s (aka Johnson’s) bitter cold hard Brexit. Now we just need to keep going in this direction, progress, one foot after another……

It is precisely because a Yourh Mobility Scheme is a great idea that the PM will bottle it. He will be scared by the reaction of the right wing press and back down. This Labour Government is so cowardly, refusing to pick a fight with the right wing press who will try to destroy them anyway.

I absolutely agree. This is why I cannot understand Labour's reticence to make rejoining SM and CU their policy. UK can be in SM and CU without having membership of the EU (just like Norway), this would still honour the outcome of the referendum which was only about membership

I don’t remember Labour explicitly ruling out a youth mobility scheme with the EU as part of their manifesto. Where did it say that?
comment in response to post
I see Youth mobility as a welcome Trojan horse to start the pathway into FoM. Certainly, the government’s refusal of FoM is ridiculous. But forcing Labour to accept youth mobility is the first step towards reversing this stance.

Gary Lineker is a decent human being, highlighting what is going on in Gaza. He apologised for one particular post. But right minded people will be grateful that someone (among others) is bringing attention to the mass killing of individuals by a government breaking international law

Gary Lineker is human, he has empathy, and he is on the right side of history 👏 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🇪🇺 🇵🇸

It is staggering how there appears to be more anger/outrage in the press about a Gary Lineker tweet than there is about what is actually happening in Gaza
