For the postage meter, a kitchen scale (depending on the size of your packages, bought mine off of Amazon) and an account with USPS will do the same thing.

Doesn’t surprise me. Usually happens after a long day on my feet or when I’m under high stress. I also have psoriatic arthritis, so that might have something to do with it.

I’ll down a small glass as soon as I can when it happens (about a whiskey glass).
If I know there’s a good chance I’ll get a Charlie horse, I’ll down a glass to prevent it.
FWIW, I don’t know if it matters if it’s dill or sweet, but I go with dill.
