Indeed, Swedish & Finnish press following this up closely and reported earlier on the build-up of military infrastructure on Russia’s side of the border.
Fair to say that we benefit from tying down 🇷🇺 in 🇺🇦 while we improve Europe's military capacity to react.

But we should also note that Trump's words on the Panama 🇵🇦 canal and Greenland 🇬🇱 are very similar to some of Putin's arguments on claiming Ukraine 🇺🇦 , e.g

No wonder Macron stands up for European defence industry: French companies have a lot to gain (but others like Rheinmetall 🇩🇪 BAe 🇬🇧 or Leonardo 🇮🇹 as well)
(and honestly, at this time I have less issues with paying a French company rather a 🇺🇸 behemot like Lockheed Martin or Raytheon)
