Reform UK Councillor Mike Broom, Biddulph North. We just can't get you out of our head. Accepted Kylie Minogue tickets from Heather Johnston a 'family friend'. She's the wife and business partner of Wayne Johnston of WJ Group Infrastructure, who have a contract with Staffordshire County Council.

An absolute scorcher from @johnjcrace. Do read! “Bliss was it in that dawn to be alive, But to be Dan was very heaven! O wondrous day. One of which dreams are made. Especially if you’ve been taking large quantities of hallucinogenics.” www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Mic drop.

2% tax on assets worth over £10m would raise £24bn/year. Starmer's welfare cuts will only save £5bn/year. Instead of making the poorest and most vulnerable pay for years of austerity, it's time to introduce a wealth tax.

Surely SURELY in the Lords they should be able to corner a debate where this is Hannan “forecast” is read out to his face? Every painful paragraph.

A masterclass in mockery and contempt for the unforgivably smug Hannan and the ideological idiocy of his Brexit vision…. “Whatever happened to punching the air at a self-inflicted 4% hit to GDP? It’s almost as if the leavers are ashamed of what they have done.” www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Independent Ireland is the world’s 3rd richest country. Its poorest have a living standard 62% higher than the UK poorest. It now has 44+ direct EU trade routes bypassing England, & increased EU trade by 50% in just 6months. If Ireland can *of course* Scotland can. indyposterboy.scot/independent-...

A Reform MP lying about crime, ‘othering’ people again with no evidence. Dan Price, Cheshire Police & Crime Commissioner, also claims he has never been approached by Ms Pochin. He said: "I simply don’t recognise the picture that Sarah Pochin tries to paint of Runcorn – it’s not based on reality.

Zia Yusuf has published a response to our report on the Reform UK "Britannia card" proposal. It's disappointing: heavy on insults, light on substance, and revealing that Mr Yusuf cites an OBR paper he hasn't read. buff.ly/GUbqAei

Nine years on from the Brexit referendum, heres' a quick reminder of how it was sold to us

“Leavers thought they'd won. Remainers knew we'd all lose; that leaving the EU would be catastrophic, not just for our economy and living standards, but in validating an ugly wave of populism and nativism which continues to this day.” ~AA @pimlicat.bsky.social www.bestforbritain.org/brexit_9th_a...

Bravo, Macron. Like in 2003 with the Iraq War - France is calling it out.

Concerns raised over Telegraph journalist as she completely forgets that Boris Johnson ever existed.

Sting on Brexit, "It was an act of folly. We're only just beginning to understand how stupid it was"

You were in the Tory party you gaslighting facist fuck!! 🤮

Palantir has landed a contract with UK police to develop a surveillance network that will incorporate data about citizens’ political opinions, philosophical beliefs, health records and other sensitive personal information. libertyinvestigates.org.uk/articles/uk-... #wato

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

In case you missed it, yesterday Labour negotiated a comprehensive and workable free movement deal between Gibraltar and the EU. Yet they repeat until they turn hoarse the assertion that they will NEVER bring back Freedom of Movement for the rest of us. Brexit is Brexit. www.itv.com/news/2025-06...

We’ve always known he was a coward Scottish Labour's Jackie Baillie said: “Nigel Farage has bottled it proving what we have known for years - he is a coward. "He comes here for a day-trip, admits he wants to cut Scotland's budget, dodges media scrutiny and can't even be bothered to campaign.

The #DOGE letter threatening Council staff who resist with gross misconduct is political theatre designed to create Reform's next scapegoat when they can't deliver all the savings they have promised. Guardian take on the situation: buff.ly/lKbzDum

😾👊🏻😾👊🏻😾👊🏻👊🏻😾👊🏻 Pass it on! #reformuk

Failed pandemic-era PPE contracts cost the British taxpayer £1.4billion. The Covid counter-fraud commissioner uncovered the figure in the first phase of his probe into wasteful Tory spending during the pandemic www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...

Your occasional reminder that in two years' time, Nigel Farage will be taking his gold plated £73,000 annual EU pension.

If only there was some way of knowing what caused all this…

The fact that someone as dishonest and hypocritical as Robert Jenrick was not long ago shamed out of public life is a damning indictment of the state of politics and media in the UK www.adambienkov.co.uk/p/robert-jen...

The reason that so many people are 'stupid' is because we allow the Billionaire Media to brainwash them 24/7. You can't have democracy in these conditions, and they know that.

Excoriating. And absolutely 100% right. “Labour’s oh-so-clever strategists are moronically giftwrapping the country for Nigel Farage.”🔥 But we have time to create the alternative now by acting strategically in our constituencies to back the alternatives we have.

Ask your local Reform candidate: "Are you in favour of millionaires avoiding paying tax?"

Well worth reading. I have cropped the screenshot and brightened it a bit to make it slightly easier to read. Yes. The “reset” (if fully realised) has just taken the edges off Johnson’s bad deal. Yes. We are putting ourselves in danger being so tied to the US star.

Labour needs a bold approach Labour must reclaim its moral purpose and offer bold, fair alternatives - or risk ceding ground to a rising far-right narrative…

FFS.

Had the Brexit referendum been mandatory as the Brexit elite pretended, it would have been legally annulled because of Vote Leave's violation of electoral law. The government acted like Mafia lawyers, exploiting a loophole in the law. Brexit was a crime.

𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗫𝗜𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗨𝗞 𝗔 𝗥𝗨𝗟𝗘 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗥 Richard Tice, Deputy Leader of Nigel Farage’s Reform Party, says Labour’s Brexit reset means we’re “going back” to being a rule taker of the EU. But 𝘄𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬 – with no vote, no say, and no seat at the EU table.

Turns out Jim Ratcliffe is as good at owning football clubs as he was at understading Brexit.

Dan Neidle has, righteously, been calling out tax lawyers who enrich themselves - and impoverish the public purse - giving bad tax advice. He's now being threatened with defamation proceedings - so we're backing him. goodlawproject.org/dan-neidle-i...

“Hard Brexit was xenophobic, economically illiterate and narrow-minded. An apology from the Brexit lobby is too much to hope for. Silence might be a relief. An appalling mistake was made. It awaits correction.” Yes. Such damage and waste. For nothing. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Nigel Farage missed Keir Starmer's Commons statement on the UK-EU Summit earlier this week. He's now missing today's Westminster Hall debate on the summit. Because just a few days before parliamentary recess, he's on holiday. (Which is his 10th trip abroad at least since the general election).

EXCL: Scottish Labour MP Gregor Poynton held a "secretive" meeting with lobbyists working for private healthcare and drug companies, we reveal Before going into politics, Poynton worked as a lobbyist for a firm representing the likes of BAE Systems and Greene King

A more personal substack post today about the first refugee I hosted through @refugeesathome.bsky.social . It's not something I talk about much but I felt I needed to write something in response to the increasingly hostile environment for refugees. christinapagel.substack.com/p/the-path-t...

A quick reminder of what today is really about: Russia threatens Europe. America is gone. It will not save us. Britain and Europe must work closely and with trust, on defense and everything else, in order to counter the Kremlin threat.

"I want people to be safe and protected. I want to live on the right side of history. I am an immigrant. My parents are refugees from Chile. We fled a dictatorship and I was privileged enough to grow up in the United States after asylum in Denmark. I stand by those protections, always."

The Daily Mail complaining that immigrants have not the English too well. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...

The coverage of this EU deal acts like the last five years haven't happened. Polls now show overwhelming support for a closer relationship with the EU, with even Reform voters backing things like the youth mobility scheme, and yet the coverage is still being framed about "betrayals" of Brexit

We have a chance to improve our relationship + trading terms with the EU, give musicians + young people more freedom and make travel easier… And Brexiters are howling about betrayal, fish, ‘holding all the cards’ and immigration. Same lies. Same prejudice. And same failure if we don’t ignore them.

Jake Richards (Labour), "Free movement of people was a free market experiment that people didn't like" Actually, I quite liked free movement of people. Anyone else?

I stand with Bruce Springsteen, not a treasonous deranged convicted felon.
