I’m sorry that your sister probably has to deal with a lot of uncertainty about what she can eat. I get it-I’m allergic to lavender and it’s in a lot of things as a “natural fragrance”.

I do say “the ceiling” to annoy my students.
But I think the two are false equivalences. Policy decisions are made based on imprecise terminology about food. They aren’t made based on colloquial greetings.
