Make sure you set aside a bit of time for the sweet, sweet LinkedIn posts about lessons for Six Sigma Black Belts from the Papal Conclave

Seconded. Couldn't believe how lovely and light it was in the evening in April/May when I first moved here

For all but one of the last 4-5 games I've tried to get to as a member, the only tickets left have been Westview, which is dynamic pricing wearing a fake nose and glasses

Congratulations Simon on the most depressing article of the season (so far). What epic mismanagement there is at our club. The sooner this cabal of fools is nowhere near us the better. Let's just hope there's the remnants of our club left after they've finished their 'work'

LOL-ing at the image of Americans trying to fill a HWB with a pan they heated on the stove because they haven't got a kettle

The new Portuguese lad is also being talked up alarmingly

Yes, isn't it ridiculous? We make a signing and I couldn't care less. Are they any good? Irrelevant, most likely

Full on Arsenalification of the club. We're about to enter the 'our players are average but well hype them to the moon' phase too

Worst quality season I can remember

It's got me pining for Jorginho, at least he played with some tempo.

If they open up with Yellow, they'll have to be dead careful for the rest of their set

I do wonder if they think Penders is the next Courtois simply because he's tall and Belgian, which is a bit like discovering Dennis Wise and thinking he'd become the next Don Estelle.

And how thrilled with life must Bergstrom be feeling?

Trick play corner and a deflection to boot.

Oh yes, there is that too. The gap between the big idea and execution in practice.

Absolutely. There's nothing inherently wrong about it as an approach. It's just in the wrong hands it can just as easily be 'data driven (off a cliff)' as it can be a secret sauce in the right hands

We're just so non descript

It's all for show, I'm sure there was an Athletic article a couple of seasons ago that spelled it out. The VAR makes the decision, the ref goes to the monitor to sell to the crowd it is their decision, but it's already a done deal.

Possibly an unintended consequence of 6, 7, 8 year contracts. Not much jeopardy in even the medium term for poor performances. Maybe not consciously but human nature.

With the news of Jackson being out for a crucial part of the season, increasingly worse. Premature adjudication: we'll finish below at least one of Man Utd or Spurs in the league.

Just means it'll be Richard Coles or the pie and liquor that used to be on Gogglebox

At this point I'm just assuming he'll play a maximum of two preseason games for us so I'm not invested.

Because they don't want him to go to a top six rival. Y'know those teams who are pretty much the only teams who can afford what we want to loan or sell our players for. [Cue Simpsons]

Ashamed to say I could only manage about ten minutes. Didn't even make it to see Bunny and Fizz

The craziness of this is that neither Cech nor Courtois would get a game for Maresca because of their lack of passing ability.

Agree. Also Sanchez's confidence must be rock bottom because of this faddish requirement for him to be a sort of playmaker. He gets grief for dodgy passing but that's what he's being asked to do.

If we end up with Garnacho and Utd end up with Nkunku....man alive
