We met many people who lost everything in Lahaina. The local art society had 20 artists lose their homes AND their galleries. They are rebuilding, just as they have in Phoenix and Talent after the Alameda fire, but itāll take time.

Up until the onset of symptoms, we had a wonderful, MAGICAL time in Hawaii. We swam with sea turtles, sailed on catamarans at sunset, and witnessed the sunrise at the summit of Haleakala accompanied by native Hawaiian prayers and song. We drove around the entire island. We got a flat. š

An amazing piece! (Even more so that it survived the shock of the reduction bin š±) I really like the contrast of the almost chunky matte glaze on the structure, and the smooth shininess of the center ball. Love this series!

Not quite as hard-core nerdy (but so much respect š«”), but:
- I wrote into his vows that he had to let me win Mario Kart sometimes
- my processional was āHan and the Princessā from ESB
- our recessional was the Indiana Jones theme, we hid a fedora at the front and he put it on as we were presented.

I shouldnāt complain, Iām out there volunteering for geology and science, and networking to build our business, itās all good. Just tired and looking forward to some relaxation in the near future. š

Iāve needed my creative forces for other business avenuesāand done some design work Iām proud ofābut my art is for ME, and I can tell Iām overdue for some art therapy.
But also itās fairly depressing to get constant likes and no sales, esp. when the sales would really ease some financial stress. š¤¦š¼āāļø

I need to probably mute some people for a bitāI avoid socials lately because so much of what I care about (science, healthcare, NASA, our basic civil liberties) is burning down and everyone I know online is justifiably upset. I havenāt painted hardly in six months and therein lies the funk.

Such a great and (imo) under appreciated flick. The social engineering on the part of the aliens was on point! Love the ship designs and general aesthetic. Also: Morgan Freeman. And a terrific score!

Yeah agreedāthereās always been a level of propaganda, but a serious dividing line now exists, in my mind, between āpolitical socials pre-2024ā and āpolitical socials post-2024ā.
I too have thoughts. (And a lot of internalized incoherent screaming.)

Iām still in shock to see it posted by the *official White house* socials. How far weāve fallen š¤¦š¼āāļø (also yes, I like your suggestion and heartily endorse it.)

Yeah honestly I donāt think it really started to change until the 90s. And the world still doesnāt consider universal handedness in designs nearly as much as it should. If right-handers were confronted with a left-handed dressing ladle at the salad bar, theyād lose their minds š

Oh I have the hook grip sadly⦠it was the 80s, my parents had to go throw a fit at the school for trying to make me write right-handed, so Iām lucky I escaped at all lol. (I know many people my age who were likely lefties, forced into right-handedness only to have appalling handwriting in the end.)

Thank you!! That entire scene you see was covered in sand on Saturdayāit changes with every storm. Nature is wild!

Basically if you can find a way to make writing legible as a left-hander, itās a win. š I have a nice hand now, but it came from years of penning handwritten letters to my long-distance bf during college.
(The ex wasnāt worth the effort in hindsight, but the cursive practice was!)

I was taking a silversmithing class in San Francisco many years ago. Got lost one evening, wound up at a little Indian restaurant where they ushered me in, handed me a mug of chai, and thus began what was hands down one of the best meals Iāve eaten. I went back the next year; it had closed.

If weāre being honest, there are many things in my shop that could use a good home š
100% human-made art, 100% of proceeds go towards more art supplies, more caffeine, and make me exceedingly happy and grateful!
