It would be a lot harder for the other blue states to keep dropping up the red states.

Israel should not stop until Hamas is destroyed.

For example, it seems like it would make a lot more sense to have two senators per economic class instead of per arbitrary region. I mean, do we want representation for everyone or just for whoever can buy politicians?
comment in response to post
That part certainly is. The thing where a number of votes are assigned to each state is debatable. It makes a certain sense and it makes a certain not-sense, and which one you prefer is just political maneuvering. If you ask me, it's weird to assign electoral votes by geography in the first place.
comment in response to post
The electoral college was about voting for people who are 2000 miles away and someone has to take a horse to get there and the telegraph wasn't invented.
comment in response to post
They did predict it. That's why they only let landowners vote.

No Ma'am. I'm currently in the state of Maine and I haven't been to Anchorage for decades.

Sorry, Trump can't read.

So... Like I said, it's mostly spam.

She's fine. She's just some kid that ran off. The sympathy ploy by her mom is sus, and if you were reasonable instead of emotional you'd know it.

Aw jeez. How did I even miss that? It's like my reading comprehension has died. Welcome to the Internet, there is no grace, mostly it's spam.

It doesn't say how old she is or when she went missing. Get it together.

You'll be billed for the milkshake, they won't tell you how much, but it will be $3,589.23, and you'll get another bill in a few days for an additional $1230 for the milkshake, but specifically from the hospital kitchen.
comment in response to post
That's wrong. The first thing people want to know is of they did something.

Some states have expanded Medicaid coverage to include undocumented immigrants, often with specific age and income requirements. Additionally, undocumented immigrants are covered by emergency Medicaid, meaning they can receive emergency medical care in hospitals.

Yeah. I was thinking that it's better to have him chicken out instead of sticking to his awful ideas. This just encourages him.

And that's not even customers, do we do it for customer transactions?
comment in response to post
I disagree. I have a small business. Payroll is easily delegated to a contractor. If I have to check the contractor's immigration status plus do it for 1000 other transactions per month it's a major problem. That's 33 of them per day.
comment in response to post
It's not clear but it sounds like a Harvard professor had a photographer take the photos for him.
comment in response to post
Is it a realistic solution? Every business checks the immigration papers for every transaction and the government tracks everything? How much does that cost?
comment in response to post
I see you are making a distinction between an individual and a business. Do you figure a business ought to check the ID and immigration status for every transaction with a service provider or contractor?
comment in response to post
I think it's pretty clear that "fuck" isn't a verb in this context or a plural number of noun-ified "fucks". It is the grand unified all-of-fuck, and thus the singular posessive case is most appropriate.
comment in response to post
They have to be made to do it, (some have even asked to be made to do it) because nobody wants to do it by themselves. The failure is on the government, and in the government's vulnerability to unscrupulous billionaires.
comment in response to post
Actually, we should probably stick to agriculture, I think. If a professional orange picker who works as a contractor doesn't get a business license, or doesn't even need one, then who is going to know?
comment in response to post
If a gardener doesn't get a business license then who is going to know?
comment in response to post
Let's say we let people who voted for Trump and want to die go ahead and kill themselves and we spend the money on hookers and blow.
comment in response to post
What if the immigrant is an independent contractor? Do you check ID and immigration status when you call a plumber? A tow truck? Etc? Should you be required to do so?
comment in response to post
Here's the rules. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigra...
comment in response to post
There are fines. In theory there could be imprisonment up to 6 months, but that's very unlikely. Also, it is not illegal to hire an independent contractor who turns out to be illegal. Perhaps that's how it is done. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigra...

I have no idea how you think this refutes anything I said. Photographs are owned by whoever takes the photo. In this case, that appears to be Harvard. So it's a very weird outcome and I don't understand the plaintiff's claim to it.
comment in response to post
Weird. You don't own photos by virtue of being related to the subject.

I mean.. do you WANT to know why men are leaving? Or do you just want your biases confirmed? Do you want Rs to win again? It's because of you. It's because you don't trailer men like people.

Okay. Look, go read what you just wrote about me being fragile. Do you see it? Do you see how men could be tired of that? All the time, every day. Young men have never known any other world. They left first, and the old allies like me left next. I voted Harris, but it wasn't pleasant.

... grievances. It's not as though there's a men's movement that isn't demonized. 4) The D candidate was the walking symbol of the intent to continue screwing men over.
comment in response to post
It's not that hard. Men defected with their votes because the D's: 1) Take anything they can take from men and give everything they can give to every other group. 2) DGAF about any men's rights issue ever. And consider the very idea hilarious. 3) There is no other outlet for men's...

Look, all the good franchises are doing blacksploitation right now. It's the cool easy cash grab that doesn't require a big budget, good writing, or acting skills. Brown people across the world pay money for it anyway.

It's basically impossible for religious people to see that their religion is the problem and not the solution.

No. That is not true. Also the average IQ of a human is 100, because that is literally how IQ is defined. In theory rats my do very well on certain kinds of tasks, but I assure you their ability to use abstraction and reasoning is quite low.

How do you know some of the men aren't cut?
comment in response to post
Improved messaging would be good but there's not much point unless Dems have a message that engages with reality. E.g: Not all foreigners are peace loving and noble; men aren't coming back to the left unless you quit abusing them and take their issues seriously.

I'm not cutting off heads. 1) It's going to have to be much much worse before I start murdering people. 2) I don't think I'd get more than one of them, if that. 3) Violent activism tends to demonize a cause, not help it. 4) I don't feel like spending the rest of my life in prison.

No. I just don't see what anyone can really do except wait for the next election.
