Let’s see, gun nut, pseudo-intellectual, evangelical Christian, worked in armed security.
All the tell-tale signs of a bleeding heart liberal.

For basketball fans, this has been a great back and forth series.
If certain people at ESPN can’t get into it because the Knicks and LeBron aren’t playing, that’s their problem.

The way my dad describes it, you pretty much had to be on your deathbed before anyone would even take you to a doctor, let alone a hospital.
And that’s before taking into account every other adult smoking like a chimney, and thinking nothing of driving under the influence.

Probably only a few years away from this being mandatory to attend or watch like North Korea.

Without storylines to rely on, ESPN is totally lost on how to cover the sport.
It’s not enough to have two great teams led by two probable future first ballot HOFers.
The series needs “star power” as well.

Was wondering why ESPN/ABC was making such a concerted effort to show them as little as possible.

Stephen A struggles for basketball content when he’s not constantly talking how LeBron is great, but not “that great.”

I just find it more odd than anything.
I figured every team in the NBA would have gone full ribbon board by now.
Hell, even Wrigley Field has a ribbon board now.
I don’t mind that so much as the stupid virtual ads projected on the court.

The fundamental problem is nobody thinks for a second that the best pro soccer teams in the world are from anywhere but Europe.
Any player worth their weight in salt is going to want to play in the UEFA Champions League. Everything else besides the World Cup itself is secondary.

Tend to agree.
Don’t see OKC beating Indiana three games in a row, and not sure Indiana can beat OKC again on the road.

You could fit two, maybe even up to four cars in that driveway.
And a mini-van would be perfect for whenever Jordan wanted to go food shopping, or just spend some quality time with his kids at the mall.

I’m still not over the fact that this is the home I’m supposed to believe Michael Jordan lives in according to the movie.

I thought ESPN was starting to get dumb around ‘04-‘05.
I would kill for that version of ESPN back at this point.

Dems would wait 20 minutes at a broken red light at 3AM, until a passing cop told them to go.

He knows he’ll be okay no matter what. Worst case scenario, he’s fired, and has to get by on his millions of dollars.
It’s everyone else who works there who could be in trouble. That’s where his concern is.

I would be too. You have a network that has gone from covering sports to wanting to be the center of attention themselves.
Anyone who disagrees with that approach has long been shown the door.

“How has that worked out?”
There’s a reason he’s not allowed in locker rooms. ESPN doesn’t want him getting hurt.

Also, a casual reminder that everyone eventually fails the purity test.

Well, son, the year was 1999. Sixpence None the Richer was on top of the world. And drinking light beer past your mid-20s wasn’t a sign of alcoholism yet.

Like that isn’t the sketchiest shit imaginable.
Drug dealers wouldn’t even accept that as payment.

It must be awesome to be a politician, because I can’t of any other job where people in their 60s, 70s, 80s, and even 90s not only regularly apply for the positions, but have to be dragged away kicking and screaming when they’re told their services are no longer needed.
