Furries are everywhere, from every walk of life. That includes hateful ones, but they are the minority. Furry is a culture rooted in queerness, founded by queerness.

Neurodivergency is the norm in furry. I know multiple plural people. It’s not common, but I think much higher rates in our shared communities compared to the general population.
Figuring anything out about yourself in your 20s is pretty young. I didn’t even figure out my gender until my 30s!

The answer is sadly that the growing anti trans movement does include some gay and lesbian people that are willing to be part of the system trying to erase trans people.
Furry is both one of, if not the most, inclusive space I know. But it is not immune to a growing number of clueless assholes.

My family uses Latine pronounced “Eh” as a genderless version of Latino/Latina. Spelled that way. I would say “Ex” if written as Latinx.
