This has to be the most dogshit take I’ve seen so far. “Well, the sun is going to destroy Earth one day, so we might as well cook ourselves now.” You can see the remains of their brains dripping down their ears.

I need you to understand: if your band is playing in a bar that also hosts Nazi meetings, I don't care if the Nazi meetings are Wednesdays and your thing is Saturday, or if you do hate Nazis yourself, or even whether you knew that bar hosted Nazis. I will not be coming to see you play. #Substack

I’ve had this exact thought. Those lucky bastards, getting to kick up their feet and rest as long as they want. Must be nice!

If you dropped someone from 1995 in 2010, their mind would be blown. Do the same thing from 2010 to 2025? Uh, Google doesn't work anymore and you can no longer answer the phone.

“(thanks to the decline of ad dollars) turned perpetrator of the current downward spiral of paid writing jobs, wielding LLMs to perform a convincing impression of the 25-year-olds who would have crafted the summer heat special section….” I can see why this writer feels sympathy for his fellow hack.

“He’s a 56-year-old media lifer with two writing degrees trying to automate his own freelance job, using A.I. to maintain an impossible human workload of low-paid gigs. He’s the victim of the previous downward spiral of paid writing jobs …” This terrible sentence continues.

You can try Mango. Many libraries also offer it for free.

WHY

There are people who actually believe prompting the AI is a skill, like two-finger typing “make summer book list” deserves a fat check and a pat on the back. These are some privileged, upward-failing losers.

We moved apartments about once every 1-2 years and shuffled the cats into another room whenever the office had a bullshit reason to be in our apartment. Never got caught.
