is that even something the government can/should do?
I don’t see google complaining that some customers are only on GCP? Why is OpenAI special?

as an almost young developer (going for 29) I think you’ll be quite successful at it.
as usual, this is pretty anecdotal, as it’s based on my own experiences, but I do find your content (both as a speaker and as a writer) to be quite enjoyable and informative.

yeah some people have a weird visceral reaction to the fact that LLMs may actually be useful

I am not in any meaningful way an expert, I just know that someone who knows more about this stuff at Shopify wrote github.com/shopify/flas...
It could maybe help? (And also by looking at the code you could figure out how the made it fast?)

hopefully components will solve FFI in a way that is actually usable. Even today with wasm, you’re pretty much limited to a somewhat c api feeling.
With components and the ability to describe complex types around language interfaces, we should be in a much better state!

I’m working on being able to generate rust types from all the lexicons in your repos, and sure it’s a feasible endeavour (I got parsing working already) but still quite a bit of work (also I would need to keep it in sync)

I have a potentially dumb question somehow related to all this. I understand the need to a new schema, but why not define it in proto/whatever existing IDL language, rather than a new IDL built on top of JSON?
