When I do this kind of thing (if you're new here, hi, I do this kind of thing) I get a lot of "all my electeds are R, it won't matter." 1. They still need to know - we pay them! 2. Lots & lots of calls can induce enough fear to sway them. 3. WEATHER IS NON-PARTISAN. THEY DON'T WANT THE BLOW BACK.

I was supposed to give a keynote speech at a Maine library conference in 2026 but because the administration has cut so much of their funding, they’ve now cut my appearance. It didn’t occur to me this stuff would trickle down, but clearly it does. This was a significant engagement for me to lose.
