I always wonder what the origin of the term "holy smokes" was, now I know

I agree with you but I'd put it a little more strong .. to hell with any law firm who sold their souls!

I honestly don't like saying this, but he'll say, "no I'd never run for a 3rd term" and then he will just extend his 2nd term for several more years ... if he's called out on it he will say ... Yeah, I extended my 2nd term, but I didn't lie...I didn't run for a 3rd term!"

Thank you for saying this, I've been saying that as well. He can extend his 2nd term for some sort of faux or real crisis.

I've never been more happy or proud to re-post something here! She's right, and she has no need to be sorry! You go girl!

I never heard of Scott Galloway until a few months ago. Now I see him everywhere. In any event, he may be smart/right but he often comes across to me as condescending. I wish the talking heads on the left would stop preaching to those already on the left and figure out how to reach the middle.

I never liked bill maher. He's always come across as being smug to me. Now he can't take parody if it is directed at him. Boo-hoo He is showing his true colors and they ain't pretty. He's cast himself in the role of Wallis Simpson's third husband.
comment in response to

Exactly, well put. bill maher just cast himself in the husband of Wallis Simpson role while Chuck Schumer cast himself in the Neville Chamberlain role last month.

Bill Maher loves to defend jokes until it's one he is personally offended by

Yes Bill apparently does need to be lectured.

He will say, "I won't exploit any loop holes in the law by running for a 3rd term" & then turn around & say "Due to world events, I plan on extending my 2nd term a few more years, but "I didn't lie, I won't run for a 3rd." I know there is a law against that, but the law never stopped him before!

I think you might have misread my posting. I was talking about what they could do in the future (which I don't agree with) not what they did in the past. Wishing you a good day and goodness seriously

I agree with you but can the executive branch claim that they can create their own "Process" and call it "Due Process". For example, UCMJ is the military judicial due process, I looked it up and it appears like it is separate from the Judicial Branch. I could be wrong, if I am all ears

I honestly tried my best to answer your question the best way I could but I guess I didn't succeed. No I didn't plan on scolding anyone. You can choose to believe that or not. Who am I to scold anyone anyway? Wishing you a good rest of the day.

I'm taken back by many postings here today. For example, if today was Arbor Day but I wasn't fond of trees because once I got hurt by driving into one. I still wouldn't think it would be in good taste to post a picture of a dog peeing on a tree or a post saying how great termites are on Arbor Day

Thank you for this posting. I switched over from X to Bsky about a month ago. I was getting a little disheartened because I've seen a lot of references to Easter on this format, but more of joke, humor, or even mocking references to it. This posting is great, Happy Easter back & awesome photo!🐣

I wish you all good. That said, I switched over from twitter to BSky about a month ago because I can't stand the right-wing slant of twitter. But! There are so many postings here I see that are a joke, humor, or mocking of Easter that I wouldn't see on X. Ok, well I guess I'll go back to twitter

Anybody who hires them now as a law firm is just as shameful.
comment in response to

I have a feeling the administration will continue doing what they're doing and when they are called on it they'll say...yeah we had our own internal process. When they are asked what the process was, they'll say ... your ruling never said we had to document the process, but we sure had one.

The only thing you are missing is that the right doesn't recognize or care about double standards. They think they are on the "right" so if their guy isn't 100% perfect, oh well ... he is on the correct side anyway & since the left is on the incorrect side, the left is wrong so hold them accountable
comment in response to

While I think it is a good thing they are taking a stand, when all is said and done is the right going to think ..."ok well whatever. The left is complaining again, oh well, they are crybabies, they lost, we're in power and we plan on staying in power, so whatever, shrugged shoulders"

I imagine Susan Collins is concerned. She's always concerned.

I have a feeling Susan Collins is walking around with a folder somewhere concerned. I guess that's all it takes to impress Maine voters and have them keep electing you.

I have a feeling Susan Collins is walking around with a folder somewhere acting "concerned". One thing about Sen Collins she has that whole "concerned" move down! Apparently that's what it takes to appease the majority of Maine voters.

Yes that's true, but I understand she's "concerned".

Years from now (if anyone is still around) when they draw parallels between WWII and WWIII. I think Schumer just cast himself in the Neville Chamberlain slot. Sad day.

He should be called Chuck "Neville Chamberlain" Schumer from now on. I guess he thinks he acquiesced his way "to peace in our time" Sad day, weak man. He will go down in history for this moment.

It is so sad, what Schumer did today. Or should I say Chuck "Neville Chamberlain" Schumer. Why not just kneel to the Orange False Prophet and kiss his hand. Shame on clueless Chuck. Doesn't even know how to put up any sort of resistance.

You are right on point Chuck "Neville Chamberlain" Schumer is the wrong man for these times. Evil loves it when you acquiesce to it, which is what he did.
