I needed a special tool to maintain my RV. Could have just ordered it from Amazon. But I don't want to help pay for Jeff Bezos tacky wedding, brought about by him shtooping another man's wife. Found the tool at my locally owned Ace Hardware. If 70 million Dems did this, Bezos wouldn't be so cocky.

Just heard Jeff Bezos justify his wealth thusly; Amazon is worth 2.2 trillion $, his stake is 200 billion $, which means HE created 2 trillion $ of wealth for other investors. Here's the fly in his spaghetti sauce. Amazon has over 1.5 million employees. He did NOT create all that value himself!

Finally! I found a hiking buddy who's slower than I am. #hiking

I have a message for the MSM regarding their coverage of the Bezos wedding. I don't care. But, it is a great illustration of the sick, decadent society we live in these days. Billionaires are the new royal class.

China announced a breakthrough in laser based earth/satellite communications which will make StarLink obsolete. Meanwhile, USA is giving billions of $ to Elon Musk to deploy his buggy whip technology. To keep up, we need our society to pull together, not one manchild to pull $ out of our pockets.

Trying out my Onewind Cradle Hammock Bugnet (they're not paying me). As compared to a zipped on bug net, I like that I can swing my feet out and sit up while inside the net. Also, can keep shoes and gear inside away from critters. It is heavier than zipped on, and a bit hard to step into. #hiking

Watching the evening news, and I have a question...when will they stop calling Congress an equal branch of government? What a joke.

When I was young, white tail deer were rare in our area. Now they are everywhere. This one kept me company on my hike today. It's proof that if we manage our world properly, things can improve. #hiking

I see hikers on social media rattling on about their gear, sometimes being paid for it. Rarely mentioned is the hat. I suggest you ditch the baseball cap and get a wide brimmed hat. Mine looks stupid, but protects from sun, light rain, deer flies, and mosquitos. The right hat matters. #hiking

Please check out this important message about our public lands. Thanks! youtu.be/3rjjiyvrLOc?...

Regarding the bombing of Iran; when did we become the country that commits a Pearl Harbor?

Today I did 5.5 miles of IAT through city of West Bend. Beautiful trail. You'd never know you were in a city. With this segment done, I've now hiked the IAT from Glenbeulah (east of Fond du Lac) down to Whitewater Lake Campground. This includes all of the Kettle Moraine State Forest area.

A sign along the IAT says this large stone erratic is The Stone Elephant. I'm sorry, I just couldn't see any semblance to an elephant no matter what angle I viewed it from. But it does look like a breaching whale. I saw the crack in the stone and immediately thought, smile of a porpoise or whale.

Took a break at a backpack shelter yesterday, and found the fire pit smoldering. Breeze picked up, and a stick burst into open flame, with dry wood around. It was a fire poker stick someone had left outside the fire ring! If I hadn't happened along, could have been a forest fire! Douse your embers!

12.66 miles on the IAT today, ending at the southernmost point of the trail through the Kettle Moraine State Forest. True, we have no real mountains in WI, but don't let anybody tell you there's no uphill. And why must it always be the last half mile before camp? And hot today, 86 degrees F.

10 miles on the Ice Age Trail today, through the Kettle Moraine State Forest-Southern Unit.

The rallies are fun and all, but very soon we have to start working on electing opposition politicians in 2026. We have absolutely GOT to retake the House next year. The Senate will be tougher, but we need maximum effort to win both.
