Yes. It has been a busy few weeks. End of the school year stuff. Thanks for checking in. That’s really nice of you. I appreciate it ☺️.

I did this race last year (the half). Such a fun race. Congratulations

I have done two. Both Star Wars. They were a lot of fun. A little pricey and you have to be quick on sign up day but it’s worth it. The medals are always good too. I sometimes toy around with doing the one in January.

Thanks. It’s been a bit of an uphill battle restarting in the stupid southern heat. Hope your toe is doing better too.

It was my bed. Lol! It now has a pool noodle wrapped around it so it doesn’t attack me again 😆

I ran a half marathon there and thought the area was beautiful. The people were super nice too. It was very rural. I was also living on Long Island at the time and the contrast was huge.

Thank you. Got my all clear for no boot on Friday. Did my first test run today. A little stiff but not terrible.

The Secret of Nimh. Scared the daylights out of me when I was a kid. Loved it anyway. I recently rewatched it as an adult and, yup, still scary. Lol

Especially pinky toes. They just hang out at the end waiting to be smashed against stuff.
Good luck with your toe. I hope it gets better soon.

I get mine online from Brooks. I have weird feet and Brooks has a liberal return policy. Local running shops tend not to carry what I’m looking for.

I wasn’t paying attention and kicked my bed while walking. Broke my toe. Stupidest injury ever. lol!

Good luck. Hope that you smashed it…. The race…. Not the toe.
I never realized how important toe protection was until this week. lol!

I’m sorry. I’ve never had to pull out of anything before and it’s super frustrating. I hope that your Achilles heals quickly and you can get back out there soon.

It is the 5k sprint and I thought about taping it but I went to the doc today and it’s legit broken. I got a fun new boot to wear. He advised against taping it and although runners never listen I might buck the trend and take his advice. lol!

It’s a tough pill to swallow. I feel very silly for the way it happened but fingers crossed for a quick healing process.

Thank you. I have a half coming up in August. So, I’m going to focus on that and keep positive.

Nope. I did not start running until I was 33. I was actually quite chubby in high school and not very athletic.

Especially when you are sure you saw the race photographer on the course.

Read this one a few months age. Pre-inauguration. Then I put it in a little free library for the next person.

I’m quite real. At least I think I am… last time I checked I definitely was.

Sub 3 marathon. I’ve done one marathon and it was the hardest thing I have ever done. I would go through labor again before I ran another marathon. lol! Kuddos to people who do them regularly. It’s impressive.

If it’s in the 40s and not windy, I will be in shorts. Any colder than that and I switch to leggings.

Need music. Especially on long runs. I’ve been relying heavily on a lot of indie folk music lately. But my mood changes quickly. So, I like to switch it up.

I feel you on that one. I’ve been at home for 15 years. I have an English degree and some teaching experience and was thinking of going back to the classroom. But it’s so hard to pick it back up at my age.

It’s so wonderful, seeing everything slowly coming back to life. I enjoy spring very much.

This one is elevated over marsh land. That doesn’t sound like it would be enjoyable but it really is.

I just wanted to pop in and say I haven’t forgotten about you. I’m consulting with a friend who is a personal trainer. I want to get you the right information.
