I wonder why there is a Geneaissance over the last few years?

Charles Sheffield sf-encyclopedia.com/entry/sheffi... was born on this day, so here are three book covers and an interior magazine illustration (Artist: Boris Vallejo, Attila Hejja, [uncredited] and Stephen Fabian). 4th from Amazing Stories, May 1978:

Every time I see Book of the New Sun art I'm like yes it is time to reread my beloved Gene Wolfe

I know it was a long shot but I was really hoping that, like a lot of science fiction fans, he'd graduate from DUNE to THE BOOK OF THE NEW SUN.

After my wife’s birthday presents, I am more than ever in need of an additional shelf on the Gene Wolfe bookcase.

Unreliable narration is simply the human condition. www.newyorker.com/magazine/201...

I’ve had these book for 35 yrs and only recently discovered (unless I forgot) that Gene Wolfe has an entry in the 1990 “Never Trust a Calm Dog” volume. Wolfe hired a tutor to learn Greek to write the Latro novels. (Note: Seems to have been still employed 40 hrs/wk)

Banging out audiobooks while I'm at work, send recommendations if you've got em, I'll take anything honestly. Just marathoned 3 Gene Wolfe titles and I'm probably gonna knock out The Name of the Rose over the next two days

Review (fantasy): There Are Doors: Gene Wolfe ***** - This 1988 novel keeps the reader unsure of what's happening until the last few chapters. The protagonist attempts to find the love of his life in an alternate world... or is he mad? brianclegg.blogspot.com/2025/06/ther... #bookreview #fantasy

Please help I have 26 hours of flying to do in the next 3 weeks and I want to get so lost in the books I forget about reality THANK YOU

Birthday present from my wife. My Takeshi Obata set is almost complete!

Gene Wolfe was a huge fan of Dickens. I don't know if The Vampire's Kiss can be obtained online anywhere or only in these two publications, but I would love for a genuine Dickens scholar to examine it.

Did something I haven't done in a long time: bought a brand new book! I don't usually have access to new books in person but was in Toronto with my daughter for our birthdays so popped into a bookstore for 2hrs & this was one of my splurges (tight budget) Time to get started. #SummerReading

One of my cousin's kids was wearing Pringles socks at a family party today. I blew his mind by telling him about one of my favorite writers having a hand in inventing the machine that cooked them, and THEN showing him a picture of Gene Wolfe. He was like OH MY GOD HE IS THE PRINGLES GUY!

Explain your @ — I’ll leave this as a puzzle for you to work out on your own.
