Perhaps this is a cynical read, but I wonder if that cigar on a yatch pic was what turned it.
A "beloved author with concerns" is one thing but a smug, billionaire bully sneering at her victims is too much for Brit-lib-celeb sensibilities.

I'm gay and blocklists are why I can keep my sanity on here.
It's worse for trans people.
We're in a horrible and frightening time for LGBT people and tools like this make a huge difference.

I find the times we do meet/chat to be more rewarding because I don't know what they've been up to.

My own experience and why I stopped using FB is that seeing friends' posts all the time stopped me "missing them". I thought I was in contact through passively reading their posts.
Now I think "I've not heard from them for a bit" and reach out to them or wait until serendipity puts us together.

I'm a very light Instagram consumer so never bothered to work out how to fix this.
I just want to see people unblock drains and jet-wash filthy yards.

Starmer just looks pathetic here.
Embarrassing that the UK grovels at the feet of the US, yet again.

How pathetic does Starmer look?
Total cringe.

"I'd rather have a piece of toast, and watch the evening news."
I like to imagine Des'ree wrote this on the bus on the way to the recording studio like a piece of just-remembered English Lit homework.

I've always thought it's telling how Dragon Age Origins had very explicit (including same sex) scenes but Inquisition just had nearly naked cuddling and Veilguard just talks about it.
To avoid criticism or changing tastes?

Last time I voted Lib Dems they ended up supporting the Tories and austerity.
I won't ever make that mistake again and I think a lot of other people feel the same.

In the mid-90s I asked ex England manager Graham Taylor if he had change for the Pay & Display in a Birmingham multi storey.
He didn't.

One of the lovely things I've discovered with audiobooks is being able to share the experience with my partner. Long journeys, cooking together or just sitting on the sofa. Enjoying each others reactions to stories.

It's pretty much a fruit machine search engine which doesn't tell you if you've won or not.
Co-pilot on the other hand, can't seem to do anything. So is probably more accurate.

My own personal experience was the "discovery tour" option on Assassin's Creed Origins kicking off a love of world history.
A virtual museum like tour of Egypt & Pyramids. Shame that it's not become a thing in AAA games.
CoD teaching real world battle tactics. GTA teaching car maintenance.

I'd say the "Arab Spring" uprisings and the fallout such as the Syrian civil war that came from that.

I never know whether to despise or pity Best for Britain and the Alex Andreou types.
Cynical or gullible. I'd say cynical but some of them don't seem to even begin to grasp UK politics considering they've made it their grift.
