Just because the Iran regime is awful and does awful things it does not mean it is morally preordained that its enemies must always win.

Yes. Not sure I would expect or want our PM to say that out loud though.

"At the moment at least", is kind of my point. Netanyahu has certainly talked about it www.theguardian.com/world/2025/j....

Lots of things are different, I accept that. But what is relevant, IMHO, is that if you destroy the apparatus of a state what you are likely to get is not some benign transfer of power, but anarchy. See also Libya.

Surely the "regime change" aspect of Iraq is relevant?

You are the one who referred to Van Dyke's fee I think :) and who started the whole converation by picking on a single club?

The 17/18 transfers in are quite amusing. Everton spend more than Liverpool. The latter signed Van Dyke Salah, Robertson and Solanke. Everton? Mmm.

Liverpool have bought quite a few players that have not broken any transfer records. Look they spend a lot on transfer fees and it annoys you they have a reputation for doing otherwise. I get that. But the fact is they spend less and/or more wisely than most other clubs of their size.

Mmm. So LIverpool are ninth biggest net spenders in premier league over past five years and have won it twice. Not sure that undermines my point that it is more cost efficient to spend big on the best players then spend a bit less on mediocre players but buy more of them.

Its more efficient to spend it on one good player than three shit ones.

Above all it is mind-blowingly stupid. Something a ten year old might ask.
