And I always thought the most likely quote from Hunt for Red October in this admin would be some one walking into Whiskey Pete’s office, “Are you telling me you’ve lost ANOTHER submarine?”

This was pure and simple a display of force designed to instill fear. When the Federal government comes for us, we need leaders that show up. Jazz Hampton, Dewayne Davis, and Omar Fateh were there on the scene to help neighbors, de-escalate, and stand up for us. Where was Jacob? As usual, not there.

This was not a normal "collection of evidence". No way two armored personnel carriers were needed to collect a few boxes of evidence in service of a warrant. If it were about that, four agents, four windbreakers, and two sedans would have been more than enough.

and 3) these agents were driving military vehicles on our streets - the same streets those seeking justice for George Floyd protested and were met similar force in 4) the heart of our Latine business corridor. All of these get to the point - this action was all about fear and trampling our rights.

Someone had to be filming the Q and A. I can only say I saw the three full rows on the left side of the auditorium in front of me cheer and clap (I was in the fourth row, left side), and I heard even more behind me. It was not an isolated phenomenon.

I thought the real stunning part of that was not the proudness of the answer, but the dozens of supporters cheering for it. Makes you wonder about where a candidate stands when their supporters are cheering against Labor at a DFL event...

If you think this is healthy for the DFL, any DFL affiliated group, or any candidate seeking the DFL endorsement to be encouraging the abandonment of labor like that, you’re wrong. And maybe rethink attending a convention where Labor is literally part of the name of the org.

Actually, let’s revise this, a “Power of the Purse” match. Suspended 20 feet above the ring will be the big beautiful bill. If he gets it, it goes to reconciliation. If I get it, it gets torn up and we get a budget that maintains current services. Your move, dweeb.

Any plans to get this out on Audible?

No doubt! Sauna culture here is huge! Plus the accordion - it’s that Minnesota sound! Certified banger!

Still, though, don’t rank him right? You can be for one candidate, but it’s important that he isn’t one of your choices. Otherwise, there’s still a good chance he gets the win w/ RCV.

Lastly, imagine a dude comes and offers to paint your house, and quotes you a ridiculous price. You kindly tell the painter dip their bristles elsewhere. You come home from work, your house is painted neon green and you have the huge bill from said painter. I suspect you'd rightfully refuse to pay.

Also, since the tax is being foisted on people who have no say in how that tax is spent, it might be akin to something that we fought some war over... Something about taxation and representation? I dunno. All my books have been banned, and I have less time to read with 12 hr shift at the factory.

You did a great job in Ward 10 tonight, Sam. Always appreciate your hard work and dedication to calling things down the middle. Kudos to you, the team, and for everything you do to make the party function and be inclusive.

Also seems like whatever lawyer filed this might be materially misrepresenting facts to the court, and maybe should face some Rule 11 sanctions?
