And given “MAGA” voters seem so blissfully unconcerned about, even thrilled by, the existence of our new secret police, the logical assumption then is “MAGA” are those secret police.

It’s a potshot at Juneteenth, of course. Trump’s enslaved persons would not have gotten even Sundays off.

Absolutely. I also have to say that your “re-imagined” Natasha Rostova there starring in that first person version might bring in a whole new readership for the “re-imagined” story.😂

Is this Cruz coming up with a “cool” response that he was not fast enough to think of at the time? It’s like when any of us get caught out in an argument and only think of the “comeback” a day or so after. By that time, we all also know it’s way too late.

CNN needs a new “security correspondent” then. The moment he identified himself, they should have let go and apologized: “So sorry, sir, we didn’t recognize you.” As a senator, he was within his rights even to get an inch from her face. Only him touching her could have justified manhandling him.

As it turned out, it wasn’t much of a “spectacle.” In that, our army did us proud. They turned up as ordered by the felon, but Red Square it was not. It seemed much more “county fair.” In 1775, the Continentals knew nothing about parades. 250 years on, US soldiers still are not big on parades.
