Trump still has an approval rating of 45% as of mid May, so he's only lost the skim off the cream of the people who voted for him. You can argue that the media is still failing to report what he's doing, but the more likely explanation is that his voters knew what they were getting and still approve

He’s lucky not to see how movie stars like Humphrey Bogart and Gary Cooper would have reacted to him.

If the Democrats are going to claim to be the "reality-based party," they need to face reality.

Sure, in some cases, but it’s also about long-term negative trends in suicide, drug overdoses, participation in the workforce, and educational attainment. aibm.org/research/mal...

You can't put every matter of social justice on the sign, but if it begins with "IN THIS HOUSE," you'd think it would mention housing for all.

We may need more loading zones, probably should have more alleys, which help in other cities. Anything but big lots interrupting the frontage on residential or even commercial streets. (Though Houston-style parking lots would certainly push rents down in Manhattan.)

The different candidates and approaches in the 2026 elections will provide some evidence of what works for Democrats. We know they have to win a few states that voted red in 2024, so that’s where the argument that moving left works will have to be proven. In Michigan, Georgia, etc.
