Y'all keep lying about this like no one else has eyes.

I was asking for a resource that compared weight for a given volume, so that I could plan a project. So it flunked a high school physics question and didn't give me one I needed.

Why did you think this was a good idea? And then why did you think this was a good idea to share?

I can't even count the number of times in the last decade I watched Jessie Waters or Tucker or some other ghoul pivot to unvarnished bigotry and malice. You cannot sit here and ask me to pretend that these people did not see that same shit and agree with it.

The problem is not simply solved by getting rid of Fox News, because Fox News did not single-handedly convince these people of the merit of terrorizing their neighbors, and if that's your read on this you seem just as gullible to me as they do to you.

They may not have voted for this to happen to a specific person they know, but they absolutely did vote for this to happen to someone, which is still absurdly craven shit.

Well, I got my refund. A bit of a bummer I didn't get the more broadly useful bit, but at least they didn't fight me on it.

I watched this and when he got to like "Kash is in here from 6am to 6pm every day" I immediately thought, "oh so you admit y'all have never actually had hard jobs before".

Hi there, I'd like to interview you for a piece I'm writing about what it's like for people to live without a spine.

I went to a Popeye's and was legit shocked they managed to make fried chicken that tasted like nothing. It was truly amazing. That combined with the only one near me ceasing to make more food an hour and a half before close kinda sealed the deal. Why bother when 75% of the menu isn't available?

I saw this without seeing who it was from and was like "this is 100% a Nick post", and what do you know.

You're talking about normal workers like they're cops, which they're not. They're event staff there to stop fights, and keep other workers safe which often involves getting punched by drunk people or having beer thrown on you for laughably low hourly wages.

Or just dumb.

Yeah, I have 0 expectations for the actual site. I'm more interested in seeing if a more streamlined social networking protocol than the current Fediverse stuff can come out of the broader project than I am attached to this particular location on the internet.

Fellow ADHD haver here, diagnosed and rediagnosed as a child and an adult from the early 90s to the last couple years. Comfort isn't worth exploiting other people or belching pollution onto the heads of minority communities, and you can fuck off pretending like you're speaking on my behalf.

Potentially the Bluesky head doing a Wired interview where they responded to the idea of letting Trump on the site by saying "it's for everyone" and then the Wired interviewer pivoting away from the non-answer to Yarvin/Thiel's psychotic network state shit like it's a normal idea?
comment in response to post
Uncritically pivoting to Peter Thiel's pet project, the network state concept et all, that's designed specifically to be forced upon the populace to cement oligarchic power as his goons help dismantle democracy like it's totally normal is one of the most genuine evil things I've seen a writer do.

Straight up the cops who are supposed to do traffic duty for the school I work at sit in their car dinking around on their phones and refuse to get out of their Teslas and direct traffic 90% of the time, even when it's clear that in order to get out of the school everyone has to do dangerous shit.

"Adapt or die," he says as he inputs nonsense into a text box and has the machine spit out one of billions of chunks of text it will generate this year for the purpose of completely eliminating the profession he's supposedly a part of. Guess it's just die then.

We should convince this man to build an entire fleet of Spruce Geese.

And you think only these people were sounding an alarm? Come on now. This is all just rubbernecking some privileged people cynically making a show out of leaving in order to elevate their profile. They're not even the first to pull this stunt.

And if your take is "the feds are looking for a reason to deport you" like that makes any sense in a country where people are kidnapped off the street, I'm fucking sorry, but you lack the critical thinking skills necessary to help anyone with anything ever. Fuck off

So this is where the designs for the titans from Attack on Titan came from. Huh.
