That's almost certainly the correct response, to be honest.

It's extremely normal over there meta.ai/@blahblahbla...

Why the fuck did you vote to confirm Noem when it was obvious this is what she wanted to do? This is on you.

You'd think that your assertion of point 3 would inform an introspective examination of points 1 and 2, and yet... here you are.

My feed is probably 60/40 nonsense fun stuff and art to serious topics, and I explicitly follow people who discuss serious topics. If your experience is this ratio is off, then you have strange standards, or you literally created this yourself.

The thing they didn't expect was to be an explicit part of that domestic agenda, at least in the case of the marines because, obviously, the Guard is a domestic force that is deployed domestically for this exact purpose regularly, instead of an implicit part of that domestic agenda.

Sorry, Jamelle, they did in fact sign up to advance a president's political agenda, they're just having second thoughts now that the agenda is primarily domestic.

These are the people who willingly participated despite all the obvious suggestions it sucked ass. If they're sincere, they'll find a way to do better on their own, but they do not need you consoling them because they showed up to do the thing they signed up for and feel bad about it now.

"Oh, well, these executors / insurers of fascist violence didn't intend for it to make them feel bad, so we need to be nice to them." Is an absurdist take, for people who, to my eye, simply don't care. Obviously we can't excommunicate every bad actor, but like... this is the tip of the spear.

The frequency with which supposedly progressive people have taken to contorting every bone in their body to find a way to accommodate people who took an active role in generating the conditions that they are discussing is frankly astounding to me.

Basically, the guard does two things these days: Hand stuff out in disaster zones, and provide the implicit threat of a militarized murder machine being turned on you for showing up to a protest. You should not give people a pass for ignoring the possibility of the second in 20 fucking 25.

You do not have to be in the National Guard, and most people in the National Guard are not extremely young, and have had plenty of chances to realize that people in power at every level love deploying the national guard to intimidate civilians.

This is some not all cops shit, IMO. It's slightly easier to excuse this, but this is the same as going "well this lady didn't vote for her latino neighbor to get cracked over the head with a baton and kidnaped" when the point is this lady voted for that to happen to someone.

Aside from physics, and my own personal gripes with workspace inflexibility and UI tools, UE is broadly a good engine, but Epic have also been at the bleeding edge of media manipulation since UE5 launched, and it's baffling seemingly no one has decided to take even one step back to look again.

The number of people in games media that are out and out rubes when it comes to tech is astounding. "PS5 hardware" is a red flag, IMO, it might be running on one of the chipsets, but I highly doubt it's constrained to the same resources.

Unless Epic has achieved some truly otherworldly optimizations that, for some reason, none of the devs I follow have decided to talk about, chances are Nanite will still be chunky, textures will still pop in, and ray tracing will still artifact.

Y'all keep lying about this like no one else has eyes.

I was asking for a resource that compared weight for a given volume, so that I could plan a project. So it flunked a high school physics question and didn't give me one I needed.

Me browsing PS+ and then realizing something cool looking is only for PSVR.

Why did you think this was a good idea? And then why did you think this was a good idea to share?

I can't even count the number of times in the last decade I watched Jessie Waters or Tucker or some other ghoul pivot to unvarnished bigotry and malice. You cannot sit here and ask me to pretend that these people did not see that same shit and agree with it.

The problem is not simply solved by getting rid of Fox News, because Fox News did not single-handedly convince these people of the merit of terrorizing their neighbors, and if that's your read on this you seem just as gullible to me as they do to you.

They may not have voted for this to happen to a specific person they know, but they absolutely did vote for this to happen to someone, which is still absurdly craven shit.

Well, I got my refund. A bit of a bummer I didn't get the more broadly useful bit, but at least they didn't fight me on it.

I watched this and when he got to like "Kash is in here from 6am to 6pm every day" I immediately thought, "oh so you admit y'all have never actually had hard jobs before".

Hi there, I'd like to interview you for a piece I'm writing about what it's like for people to live without a spine.

I went to a Popeye's and was legit shocked they managed to make fried chicken that tasted like nothing. It was truly amazing. That combined with the only one near me ceasing to make more food an hour and a half before close kinda sealed the deal. Why bother when 75% of the menu isn't available?

I saw this without seeing who it was from and was like "this is 100% a Nick post", and what do you know.

You're talking about normal workers like they're cops, which they're not. They're event staff there to stop fights, and keep other workers safe which often involves getting punched by drunk people or having beer thrown on you for laughably low hourly wages.
