The 38 brits and then like the 30,000 aussies and Indians/Pakistanis/Bangladeshis/gurkhas who just want to go home standing right behind, besides, in front and just generally around them. Look im not saying WW2 Italy good. I'm saying they found out that the rest of the world did, indeed, have hands.

Which to be clear is utter bullshit.

The hilarity of asking a south Indian if they eat animal products is genuinely very funny ngl. Its one of the areas with the highest levels of both vegetarianism and veganism on the planet lmao get off your high horse.

Soul goes marching on: if character dies, all party members who knew him get +2 in charisma. All new party members can get up to +1 if they share alignments of Lawful Good, Chaotic Good, or Neutral Good or share faith in Columbia.
comment in response to post
Yankee Trader: +3 to charisma when dealing with merchants or when selling or trading an item. +4 when the item sold is defective or potentially damaging.

Home of the Free: character must instantly dislike characters from monarch and noble backgrounds. They are a friend of the common folk and have an obligation to attempt to free all slaves and people held unjustly lest Columbia smite them for their impiety and remove her blessing from them.
comment in response to post
Land of the brave: character can resist intimidation attempts if the charisma roll is less than an 18. Party members can resist if the intimidation is less than 14.
comment in response to post
Amber waves of grain: character gets a +2 in constitution should they spend any time in game farming along with a +2 to intelligence.
comment in response to post
Plowshares into swords: if a character uses an improvised weapon or one they create that weapon gets a 1d4 increase in attack on every attack provided they roll above a 2.
comment in response to post
The Giver: if a character gives coins to the poor or buys bread for them they receive 20 XP and a +1 to charisma, intelligence, and Wisdom for every 100 GP given. Likewise if they give a party member a weapon that weapon gets a +1d4 increase for the round of combat, and the character earns 50% xp.
comment in response to post
Paragon of Justice: if playing a lawful character character gets +3 to any one of attack, charisma, defense, wisdom, intelligence, or mobility which they can change once ever 5 levels. Unjust heart: -2 to HP but buffs any evil characters by 1 point across the board.

This is where GRRM missed a trick by not making the nights watch a grimdark version of paladins of the old gods. Truly horrifying to face, fanatical, and there's things that scare them. Makes the Others *way* scarier if *those* guy prefer a headsman's sword rather than fighting them.

James no. not like this.

Musicians invert the colors. So a bandsman in a US Army unit wears/wore a red coat as opposed to a combat arms soldier wearing a blue coat.

Yet more proof that 99% of IR folks have not read the classics.

There's an Ike quote from later in life about what he learned from serving under Mac where he replied "I studied dramatics under MacArthur."

"The high lord's and the rogue traders can play their games. The administratum continues its vigil of millennia." That sounds sufficiently 40k.

I think Shakespeare is better but his English is as far removed from Douglass as Douglass's is from us.

This kills the INDOPACCOM.

Your version of the american way of war: cringe, unscientific. My version of the anerican way of war: based on fire superiority negating manuever capabilities.

And got yelled at for being generally unhelpful when they and the imperial fists got in a pissing match over one of ferrus' machines by the Raven Guard's baby of a chapter master. During an ork invasion.
comment in response to post
That one raptor 1 v all-ing the entire tau expansion fleet and winning a pyrrhic victory is pretty sweet. Though Sable Brand is probably the second worst Geneseed flaw. Seeing the imperium for what it is and yearning for your own death constantly but being unable to end it must really suck to have

I ask because 99% of my legions successor chapters exist to make Xenos way more intimidating. And by Xenos i mean the Tau. The sharks did psychologically break a drukhari so we got that going for us.
comment in response to post
Oh so the dark angels player is complaining about not getting enough attention. *stares in raven guard* Now what's this about a xenos we can kick while down?
comment in response to post
Oh please as if dark angels weren't used to being forgotten and abandoned.

Spider-Man, straight ticket democrat except in 2016 where he wrote in Bernie Sanders. Iron Man, Trump 2016, Biden megadonor and advocate in 2020, Trump 2024, probably whoever the dems run in 2028. Cap: he is literally FDRs strongest soldier. Dem straight ticket since 1940 (his first election).

If you believe certain traditions about Homer hes even related to him via his grandmother's cousins' husband. If you believe the "Homer is the son of Telemachus and Epicaste" tradition that is.

Look all i want is just one win. i will take us losing this series for one win. For the children. they don't deserve this.

Its been 18 years. Aho can't do everything. I yearn for the sweet release of winning one game in the ECF.
comment in response to post
Our last ECF win is old enough to vote in an election.

Tbf even the Americanists believe the world stated in 1648. They just think nothing mattered until 1776.

After all what is a Pentagon but a series of triangles?
comment in response to post
Genuinely think we'd win against the leafs if they played this way with like 3 forward lines and the standard defensive 6.
comment in response to post
Leafs fans were resigned to this fate, but unironically, I think Carolina could have rolled out three lines and beaten the Leafs 3-0 in every game if this is how they would have played in that hypothetical series.
comment in response to post
Look if that was them doing what they did *with* the wizards then why did it take us 50 years to win the cold war?
comment in response to post
The fact that the American Government didn't coopt American wizards into the CIA is fucking bs

sorry let me specify, at St. Helen's in Swansea

The fact we call France our oldest ally when that's actually Morocco makes me sad.
