Ask the cats. It's always the cats.

You're all probably wondering why I've called you here today ...

I'd hope you're right. I remember thinking that he'd never win here once, let alone three times.
First past the post and voter apathy are killing this province.

That's a double-edged sword. I can't imagine what he'd do to the country as a whole, but I can imagine it wouldn't be good.

Technically you're not wrong, but you shouldn't be trying to draw Kevin to the dark side.

He's just waiting for Polievre to resign as party leader and run for it himself.

Cats are amazing, even when they don't give a crap about you.
I said goodbye to my 20-ish year old Lulu in February. Her kidney function had be declining for months. I haven't made the decision yet about getting another cat.

Nice to see the lad showing an interest in politics.
In Canada, younger people seem to be moving toward voting conservative, which doesn't bode well for our future.

There's only one thing standing between me and that Reynolds wrap .... you win this battle @bodegacats.bsky.social

I love this for all three of you (I assume that Mr. Gatfield is wisely keeping his distance from this conflict).

It's been out for a few (five?) years, but "Resilience Is Futile
The Life and Death and Life of Julie S. Lalonde" by @julieslalonde.bsky.social is quite good.

My experience as a non-drinker has been:
"You don't drink? How long have you been sober?"
"Mmmm, all my life. I just don't like the taste of alcohol."

I know nothing (more or less) about the legal profession and what does or does not constitute (un)ethical behaviour, but there has to be a clear line between being a zealous advocate for your client and committing legal malpractice.

I don't relish a two-party system like the one that has developed in the U.S., but it the Ontario Liberals and NDP don't start running under one banner (and their voters being open to voting for a candidate that may not "check all the boxes"), we're going to have him and his successors for decades.

To be fair, the chicken cutlets had it coming. They know what they did.

It's not surprising at all, it's who he is - small and petty.

I doubt he'll be able to "science the sh!t out of it" in order to survive, though. No space potatoes for him.
comment in response to

Well, I think that today's hairspray is safer for the environment than 1987's was, so we might survive this.
Good luck.

Please tell me that you countered the sartorial choices of A-ha with a warning not to emulate Whitesnake.

Happy that you're doing better.
Something similar happened to a co-worker of mine this week - spontaneous femoral fracture.

I'm not sure we (Canada) actually learned anything.
The 51st state rhetoric and tariffs pushed voters toward the party (the Liberals) the are likely best suited to deal with those, but the Conservative party made gains in popular vote and seats in the House of Commons over the 2021 election.

Does a sitting CPC member give up their seat so PP can run in a by-election and stay on as leader? In SK or AB perhaps?
He's obviously still popular (why though?!?)

It's a good result, but much closer than I thought it would be.

If you're cremated, your cremains can also be placed in a columbarium.
I cut grass at a cemetery for a few summers 35 years ago, and I finally got to use this useless trivia I picked up on the job.
