MAGA thrived on obscurities and generalities, which fit their agenda when out of power, persuading others they should lead. Now, nearly four months in, they still rely on the same vague rhetoric. But in power, it doesn't persuade people, it exposes their incompetence and ignorance.

Follow your instinct and be yourself. Say and do what you know is right. We need the leadership and direction i know you will take America.

You are out of touch and are doing us mo favors by enabling Trump. You should be enjoying retirement somewhere. Others more qualified are ready to take the lead.

To President Zelensky, when you face opposition, remember that there are those of us, unseen and unknown to you, who stand with you in support.

What does Trump think will happen if states stop paying taxes to the fed?

Through all, I have neither assailed, nor wrestled with any part of the constitution. The people -- the people -- are the rightful masters of both congresses, and courts -- not to overthrow the constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it Abraham Lincoln

Eventually the dog and pony show ends and the reality of what is actually happening settles in. Slick BS only goes so far, and facts eventually prevail.

you can convince everyone no rain is coming... but its gets harder to make believers from a crowd of people standing in the rain.

That's literally the logic of every dictator in history. 'If I say I'm saving the country, then laws don't apply to me.'

State power is our shield against federal overreach. When leaders defy court orders, state governments can uphold the rule of law, ensuring checks and balances remain intact. States have power to resist authoritarianism and protect our democracy.

The state attorney should look at the evidence and see if there are state laws violated. the federal government can be checked by the states powers. John Adams foresaw someone like trump.

Witnessing first hand someone bull their way to where trump has brings home the reality there were no "great times" there has been good and bad, depending on the physical world and who us humans decide we want to be.

5 Signs of a Stupid Person According to Stoicism 1. They React Emotionally Instead of Rationally 2. They Refuse to Learn or Change Their Views 3. They Seek Approval Instead of Virtue 4. They Blame Others Instead of Taking Responsibility 5. They Talk More Than They Listen

I don't think he intends to keep any promise unless it aligns with his personal wants.

Adams knew this could happen. The states need to exercise their power and push back.

State courts need to look into have their rights are being violated or if criminal laws have been broken. Trumps reach stops at the State governments

I really can't stand that man

the US is divided between national and state governments, ensuring no single entity has total control. States can check federal overreach, enforce laws, and protect rights. This is how we push back

While they keep us focused and fighting against the attempt to take human services, please push back on the other subsidies they are not talking about. big oil, big pharma, private jets, stadiums etc. Thank you for fighting back, but don't let them dictate what it is about.

we all expected people to eventually see trump not keep his promises, but who expected him to accomplish most of it within the first month??

I have noticed a pattern where every conflict around any issue between the parties is almost always hinging on the factual truth vs the perceived truth that is being pushed.

People who build careers on excellence aren’t easily swayed by offers in exchange for loyalty. What does it say about those who are?

I never gave it much thought before this year, but now I write to both senators and my congressperson almost daily. I usually get the generic reply, but together we all make a statement.

I’ve worked at companies where C-level execs built teams based solely loyalty. It created a culture where employees were trying to self serve off each other over the company. The second time I saw it, i moved on. the dysfunction was a nightmare that was incapable of accomplishing anything.

Article I, Section 9, Clause 7 Says Congress controls government spending: "No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time."

I am not sure which boils my blood more, the reality of what you said or of those who were supposed to be looking out for us that stood by and allowed it to happen.

And at the end of the day, when it’s time to go home, regroup, and prepare for what comes next, they walk away with millions while the rest of us rummage through the scraps. all earned while supposedly serving the people. It’s not just disgraceful; it’s downright discouraging.

My 82-year-old father, a Vietnam veteran and Trump voter who dedicated his career to the military, felt a cold chill when he realized that Elon Musk could see the benefits he receives from the government

People keep hoping that Trump will eventually see reason and make the logical choice, but the world needs to wake up to the reality of what they're dealing with. he isn’t going to change.
comment in response to post
I keep asking myself when the people my age who know better are going to wake up.

The Democratic party needs billionaire money to compete with Republicans, but they don’t need billionaires leading them. It is the difference between funding a movement and steering its direction. It is at the cost of real representation and likely why it keeps failing

when you look at the definition of various manipulation tactics from sophistry to bamboozling they all require deception But Trump is trying to use the intelligence of a 4 year old to deceive those outside of his cult. not just this instance but with everything he tries.
comment in response to post
I would agree. it seems the only response to all of this by those with any power to push back is to point and call it all out to us. as if that is their contribution to fighting back.
