@keeptroyblue.bsky.social Why are we all acting like hypocrisy among politicians is some anomalous new thing? “All men are created equal” was written by slaveowners, and “We the People” was not intended by its authors to include you and me. I don’t get it. Politicians are ever hypocrites, folks!

Jesus designated an explicitly racist order as the second-greatest of all God’s commandments. “Love thy neighbor” is from Leviticus 19, where your neighbor is clearly defined as your fellow Israelite, NOT your fellow human. Other races are fair game for slaughter and slavery
