Can’t recommend Arcane enough if you haven’t watched it yet

Staffing for Sendou is an extremely high-trust role with how much of the community runs through the platform. I’d assume that’s the biggest reason it’s such a small team.

I could add a stream directory page to Stronghold’s website if there’s enough interest

Yeah, by circuit I mean the rankings would be pulled from a few chosen events that can be changed with each season's circuit. So like the general flow would be qualify in the circuit by playing in these picked events and then if you quality, you can play in the circuit's final event.

Yeah, Sendou badges are a big problem that will need to be dealt with sooner or later since that's the main thing events are using to boost signups. I think there's more solutions for events to pull teams from others, namely more unique prizes (ex. art, team interview, money, etc.).

Gotcha, yeah that would definitely help. Skill is really hard to measure in Splatoon with it being team-based, so something like a regular circuit that takes results from a couple larger events would probably be the best solution to providing a fair-ish ranking system.

I'm not the most familiar with SSBM, wdym by power ranking? Is it a ranking system for events or something?

Events that keep doing the same thing w/o innovating or providing a sub-par experience will die out. Newer events with better quality or something new will speed up that process.
Personally, I think the scene is just going through some growing pains right now in terms of player turnout for events.

Same concept as competition between companies being ultimately good for consumers since the companies are forced to create a better product to get consumers on their side.

While I agree that there has been an oversaturation of tournaments, part of me is actually okay with it. With their being multiple events, it forces organizers to compete against each other to bring in more players by offering a better event.
