Now with all the $ in video tablet visits they are cancelling even non-contact in person visits and requiring it all to be virtual. Our local jail has no more in person visit hours (for non-attorneys)

I don’t think it’s ambition. I think it’s integrity. I think it’s actually believing in public service as a service to the community, and in the rule of law and the values we purport to hold/uphold. I really don’t think there’s a drop of ambition in what he’s doing

Actually, he’s a green card holder, not on a student visa. But either way he came to this country legally. He “waited his turn” as some like to say

This case is about a person who NO ONE argues came to the US illegally. He came legally on a student visa that they are trying to take away

My kids were in 5th and 2nd when the world shut down in 2020. The mostly remote school year was 6th and 3rd. The class of ‘27 definitely took longer to recover. I feel like pandemic effects are pretty much gone for class of 2030 and they are having a pretty “normal” MS experience

I stuffed envelopes for his campaign when I was in HS in the 90s!

It should be very clear to every Senate Democrat that any vote for Cloture will also be considered a vote for the bill.
People aren’t going to be tricked with procedural games.
They know exactly what is going on.
Defend Medicaid.
Vote NO on Cloture.
NO on bill.

It could also be some weird conflict of interest that came up but saying it’s a conflict would be to the detriment of the other client, especially in such a high profile case

Non-Christian with strong associations to the Battle Hymn of the Republic. Same for Lift Every Voice and We Shall Overcome. There are religious hymns that are so strongly associated in our history with freedom struggle they don’t set off exclusionary religious alarm bells for a lot of non-Christians

Any other state where she gets pulled over by police is likely to arrest her on the outstanding LA warrant and she’ll be in jail while it takes some working out. Maybe other solid blue states won’t extradite her but an outstanding warrant creates a significant risk of arrest almost everywhere

Nah, I think she’s saying that Dr is going to get arrested on it by that sheriff/trooper and fiend the night in NY jail refusing to waive extradition and need a lawyer to get her out and/or I guess the state can refuse the LA governor’s warrant ?

Feel this way pretty much every time I go, especially when I visit the bigger ones (my closest is small). My young teen kids love the library. Older one is a voracious reader. Younger one likes to use the study rooms to do homework with friends and feel more independent than being home

Pretty much the only reason I still have an X account is to get traffic updates from my local gov and school closing updates, etc.

Wouldn’t this hypothetical person already be spending like $12/day on a bridge or tunnel toll? I’m surprised anyone does it. When I lived in NJ and commuted to Manhattan I owned a car but it never even occurred to me to use it in my daily commute

I didn’t realize how much “localization” they do until I tried to buy my favorite Costco dessert (raspberry/chocolate rugelach) at the Northern VA Costco. No dice. That’s a MD Costco item

Inching closer and closer to Idiocracy. Be the genius who advocates for growing plants with water rather than Gatorade

I feel like public health has been kinda sleeping on adult TDAP boosters. No doctor ever talked to me about getting one until I was pregnant. If fewer kids are getting immunized does it make it more important for adults to get their boosters?

Thank you for this moment of levity for my family of four reading the wiki article for “butt fumble” and watching it on YouTube. In our defense, youngest child was not quite 1 on the original butt fumble date
