I wish I shared your faith. I have never seen any new political party get such media coverage and partisan support as Reform. However incomprehensible it might seem they control the narrative right now and the pliant media are normalising their racism and rebranding it as common sense. Beware

My concern is that an ineffectual Tory party hemorrhaging votes to Reform Ltd is actually worse than having an effectual one that makes a better fist of splitting the RW vote

So there will be episodes of Eastenders with conversations in the Queen Vic about "them comin' over here, livin' off benefits and taking our jobs..."

It always boils my piss seeing his statue at Westminster. It only took Madrid 30 years to remove Franco's!

Strangely however, kings, queens and other members of the royal household have never been prosecuted for as much as a parking violation since. They must all be saints OR law enforcement conveniently look the other way (cough cough Ponce Andrew...)

Hold on, 35% think that privatised energy is a good idea when UK has the highest energy costs in Europe?
It makes zero sense.

We all have TBF, there is no shortage of photographic evidence that they hung out together. Yet 70m Americans didn't care then and they don't care now. Go figure.

The only rules for going out were "don't talk to strangers," "be careful crossing the road" and "be back in time for supper." At 10 yrs old I was catching urban busses, going fishing & building tree houses in nearby woods with kids my own age. Never got abducted even once.

Sorry I don't want to be a prick but what's the difference between a CPO for a solar farm and a CPO for say HS2? Is there any evidence that this is linked to the heinous SEZ issue?

Imagine how much powerful the AI and data that the bad guys have at their disposal now.
And how will it be deployed to whip RW into a frenzy & promote Fartage in 2029?

So glad to see JS giving CC time to state her findings and express genuine interest and concern.
Compare and contrast by the way she was treated by the UK media, especially the BBC, when she broke the CA case.

Yeah that bloody George Bernard Shaw, with his modern vulgarity and contempt for the English language!

To the contrary! The motivation behind the centuries-old idea of spelling reform is to make learning English simpler and quicker - through the scientific appliance of logical phonetic spelling, there's nothing nasty about it.

In the west, created a world of such abundance that rather than eating to prevent ourselves starving we have to mitigate the affects of having too much food available to us by taking medicines.
While people are starving to death in developing countries.
What have we become?

This is the crux of the problem.
MAGA will see this as just desserts for elites and foreigners.
They voted for him knowing he would act like a dictator but he's *their* dictator.
This is what they elected him to do.

I completely agree with this policy. I would however like to see it enforced by more actual police patrols rather than rely on cameras in my area. Wood Green High Road is like a drag-race track for souped-up cars with silencers removed so also a horrible source of noise pollution!

I suspect that thee kind of mini-deals not only fuel the attacks from the leave side but might also give moderate remain-minded folk the impression that it's not so bad after all - so I don't think that long-term they are at all helpful. We need to make a proper commitment to SM at the very least

It doesn't help when people like Roger Daltry bang on about how they toured Europe before we joined - without mention the context of how it was completely different the music market was in the 1960s & 70s.
