I can't remember another example of popular text written with so much care and intention, especially coming out of Disney. I'm shook! #scifi #starwars

And folks complaining about the Bix scene can go take a hike. Fa#@ism is ugly not only on big screens with big slogans, but in the tranches, in everyday lives of powerless people dealing with apparatchiks with and without uniforms. #starwars #andor #rogueone

One has to understand that this presidency is but a symptom of decades of attack on civic institutions. No single president will be able to undo this. What we need is a true movement to transform society into a true representative and just democracy. Nothing less will make any meaningful dent.

There was a moment where all of them had raised their fists in that same line-up and my jaw dropped a little.

Heard a lot of stories how writers deal with years of rejection before landing their first publishing deal. What are some of the signals you should look out for to know that may be you should move on or write something else?

For sure. Not to mention literature written in so many non-Russian languages of the Soviet Union. Have you read We by Zamyatin? It predates Orwell's 1984 and is just as compelling if not more so.

What a treat. This Soviet author is so little know in the west and so many of his works have not been translated yet. He is taught (or used to be) in post-soviet high school literature classes and I remember how much it shook me at that age. The term "manqurt" has become a pejorative in daily use.

Honestly this whole SCOTUS is metaphysical BS at this point. They don't shy away from any rhetorical gymnastics to serve their ideological overlords. Even precedent is a mere inconvenience.
